1) All combat in this game is against bots.
2) The Guild Expedition is better practice for combat than beating up lower-ranking players, since it offers opponents of increasing difficulty, then resets each week.

Since Inno implemented this midway through the current event, if BA players choose to stay on that Era, they cannot get the 2nd upgrade for the graveyard now for the following quest, which would have been achievable if there were neighbours to fight:

Quest 25:

  • Jack O'Lantern: "Win 2 battles OR donate 30 goods either from your current era or the era below to the guild treasury" and "Spend 5 Forge Points"

Also, fighting your hood on BA is way different than GE and you all know that. Everyone paces themselves at a rate which they are comfortable with. I see many people who don't even like doing GE, but are happy beautifying their cities. However, I think it was totally unfair on all BA players as well as doing this right in the middle of this Event. Fighting your hood on BA is a mild challenge to new players, compared to GE. The whole point is there are/were 2 types of fighting and it is fun for many and its not about flogging new players all the time either for most players.

Inno, you ripped us BA Players off in a number of ways by doing this! You could have made a live chat for New Players to ask what to do when anyone attacks & plunders them, giving them advice as to what GBs to build and how to go about it, which includes Guild Jumping to get more BPs & Coins. Really, a lot of these problems could have been approached in a much better way than the one you imposed on us (BA)

At least BA players could have had some joy of getting the 2 upgrades for the Graveyard, but now can't !!!

@Gotchya Haha how is that quest unpassable? There are map battles which could be passed with high enough Zeus which era camper should have.

I don't understand this - why can't Bronze Age players do the OR part of the quest, like anyone else who hasn't specialised in fighting troops? That's what it's there for.
I do agree that introducing this change in the middle of an event with quests already planned in advance was probably not a very good idea.
Fighting your hood on BA is a mild challenge to new players, compared to GE.
The first few battles on GE are always going to be easier than anything except beating up players who haven't been told how to set a defence yet (and I certainly had no idea until another player took pity on me and explained).
It gets more difficult, yes, which is why you'll learn much more by doing it; I had to do two-wave battles in the GE long before I encountered them on the continent map.
On the other hand, it gets easy again every week, which means you have a chance to practise at the same difficulty again and again, unlike continent battles which just get harder and harder too fast for you to learn much - and unlike attacking your neighbours, which if you're doing it for serious gain involves picking out the ones you know you can beat easily and concentrating just on them :P

Maybe what's really needed is to open GE to people in BA and start using BA goods, allowing players to donate them. That would instantly cure all the problems caused by this silly 'pvp' change.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think GE is available for BA players which means this learning opportunity is also not available while troops are cheap and heal fast.

DeletedUser110687

you cant donate BA goods to the treasury
Yes Inno made sure of that. However, if you are on Bronze Age and have an Observatory, it actually produces Iron Age goods for a Guild, bcos Inno knows BA cannot do GE, therefore they did something right here, BUT they discriminated against BA by locking us out of being able to do that in Events in the recent months, preventing BA Players from completing any Event.

@ Ilela:
If someone enjoys to stay on BA, some players do not just remain on the lower Era provinces BA or IA, but like myself, progress up the Era's to gain more Expansions through negotiations. Therefore, this makes it no longer possible to actually battle the very high Era Troops with BA Troops. Therefore, this makes it impossible to complete some of the Event Quests such as the one below, which robs BA Players of at least the chance to achieve 2x Graveyard Upgrades.

Quest 25:
  • Jack O'Lantern: "Win 2 battles OR donate 30 goods either from your current era or the era below to the guild treasury" and "Spend 5 Forge Points"

What is even worse for other BA players, is that Inno has also "LOCKED" the selected Units Icon, so that you cannot Blue them out, if you lose them in a battle on the Continent Map (Referring to other players). If Inno didn't rudely do this midway through a Main Event, it certainly wouldn't have added salt to ones wounds. Thanks a lot Inno :/

When you have no hood to fight, there's one reason why you can't complete part or all of an Event, if any quest asks you to defeat a certain amount of enemies. The other reasons that can arise causing BA Players to forfeit the Event, is that they may not be able to fight on the Continent map, because the Troops are too hard. Once you lose your troops, whatever you have on BA, (INNO LOCKED IT) you cannot blue them out. Overall, Inno stopped allowing BA Players to complete Events about 2 months ago. This is the "Discrimination" I'm also talking about in previous posts, including the latest one (No Attack & Plunder on BA).

PROPOSAL FOR INNO:
Why don't you break up Bronze Age into 4 Stages like you have with Oceanic Era and also allow BA Players to complete any Event?
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
BOOT CAMP:
* First Stage (Build a Zeus):

OPTION ONE: Inno encourages New Players to prepare goods and get 9 Blueprints (BPs) for a Zeus, with "Pop Ups" on their screen, encouraging New players to do Guild Jumping and aid all Members in that Guild then leave (More Pop Ups Showing How to Do This) and repeat process until they get all BPs. This will help them become familiar with the other advantages of the game to help them achieve building a Zeus. It will also give them insight as to how they can get coins if they need them to buy forge.

On this Stage, no one can touch them by attacking or plundering them and visa versa. (Option Not Available)

OR

OPTION TWO: Complete the New Tech Tree & New Storyline (Stage One) and they win 9 Blueprints for Zeus. Pop Ups include, teaching them to prepare the Goods Buildings they have deposits for and "How to Trade" for what they will need to build the Zeus when they get the BPs.

OR COMBINE ALL OF THE ABOVE
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

GRADUATION:
* Second Stage (Achieve Level 1 Zeus):

After showing them how to get BPs from Guild Jumping/Aiding and Coins for converting to Forge Points, this is where Inno can use (Pop Ups Again) to show them the benefits of having the Zeus: +3% Attack & +3% Defense per Level, up to Level 10; and why they will need it for Higher Era's if they choose to do Neighbourhood Battles, Guild Expedition and GvG.

The Pop Ups also teach them the importance of Aiding all their Friends/Guild/Hood and to upgrade their Taverns as soon as possible, which will give them more chances of getting FPs when they visit their Friends Tavern, to get their Zeus to Level One.

Once they achieve Level One, the option of "Attacking the Hood" is opened to them. This is where they can only attack other players who have a Level One Zeus, either for "Battle Points" or for "Storyline" or just for fun. Also they win a "Special Forge Building" to assist them to get their Zeus to Level Two.

At this Stage, the option is unlocked to allow them to complete "Any Special Event" up to 1/2 of the "Whole Event, allowing them to achieve something for their efforts & achievements. (Encouragement)
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Third Stage (Achieve Level 2 Zeus):

Once they achieve unlocking this Stage through the Tech Tree, the focus is on fighting (More Pop Ups) showing them the difference between Auto Attack and Manual Attack (Advantages and Disadvantages). A New Storyline is added, which focuses on Fighting to compete against a Level 2 Zeus Player and win "X Number of Battles (Progressive through Tech Tree). Upon the near completion of this Tech Tree, they win a "Special Forge Building Upgrade" to assist them to get their Zeus to Level Three.

At this Stage, the option is unlocked to allow them to complete "Any Special Event" up to 3/4 of the "Whole Event, allowing them to achieve something for their efforts & achievements. (Encouragement)
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Stage Four (Achieve Level 3 Zeus):

Once they achieve unlocking this Stage through the Tech Tree, more (Pop Ups) teach them about the other important GBs later in the game that are similar to Zeus and their importance for Hood, GE, GvG.

The 3 Zeus's:
(1) Zeus: +3% A&D per Level to Level 10, No Extra Bonus (Total A&D @ Lvl 10 = 30%)
(3) Cathedral of Aachen (COA): +3% A&D per Level, +Coin Bonus (Total A&D @ Lvl 10 = 30%)
(2) Castel Del Monte (CDM): +3% A&D per Level, +Forge Bonus (Total A&D @ Lvl 10 = 30%)

Also the introduction of "City Defense GBs" in Pop Ups, teaching them the importance of having them to help protect them from "Attack & Plunder"

A New Storyline is added, which focuses on Fighting to compete against a Level 3 Zeus Player and win "X Number of Battles (Progressive through Tech Tree). Upon the near completion of this Tech Tree, they win a "Special Forge Building Upgrade" to assist them to get their Zeus to Level Four.

The option of "Attack & Plunder" is unlocked at this level and they now begin to experience the original gameplay, which was removed. They cannot Plunder any Player under Level 3 Zeus.

At this Stage, the option is unlocked to allow them to "Complete Any Special Event", giving them the full prizes for their efforts & achievements. (Encouragement)
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

IRON AGE:
A New Storylines are added in Stages similar to Bronze Age, where the Player must achieve Level 5 Zeus, halfway through Iron Age. Players who manage to Level their Zeus earlier than Iron Age (By Alternate Means), cannot Plunder any Player with a Zeus under Level 5.

For each Stage up to Level 5 Zeus on the Tech Tree, they win a "Special Forge Building Upgrade" to assist them to complete Level 5 Zeus. However, on the very last Stage they must sell the "Upgraded Special Forge Building" to get the remainder of Forge needed to assist them to get Zeus to Level 5.
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Conclusion: This Proposal is one small outline of the many things Inno could implement, to avoid the total removal of Special Events and Attack & Plunder on Bronze Age upward, with a new way to prepare New Players with Attack & Defense for any type of Battle for Now and Future Era's.

@Gotchya Haha that won't happen. They already have too much stuff to work on such as making game HTML5 based, new events, possibly new age. All that coding would take them months to complete that if they aren't focusing on it. And since game has app, the work would be doubled.

I'm not against the idea though.

They know what they have on their plate and know what they can implement and what they can't. They have enough money to do a lot of things unlike some other game companies. They are well equipped and capable of this or something similar.

@Gotchya Haha But wouldn't that make Bronze Age last kinda forever? If it would, then I think it would put off a good deal of new players, as advancing through the ages is part of the game's appeal.

because players should leave bronze age as fast as possible :rolleyes:

your idea would be like in the Formula 1
lets make the warm up round before the race 4 times and not only once :lol:

proposal for all:
play the game like it is designed :P

btw:
I will love all the complaints of the bronze age campers when the Daily Challenges will be released and they recognize it isn't available in the bronze age :lol:

It's an outline of a proposal, Inno is not short of improvising on an idea/s

Forums are made for the purpose of "Feedback" and that's what I gave, accompanied with a suggestion after I pointed out the what they deprived BA Players. The sooner you realise that Inno don't give a toss about players and are more interested in money and offending people, then you might wake up to yourself also!

So don't attack me, thanks!

Test didn't attack you; he gave his opinion regarding your feedback/proposal. Just as you are allowed to make proposals and offer feedback, others are also allowed to state their opinions regarding such proposals/feedback.

I personally hope that Inno doesn't waste even 1 second considering your proposal.
