Event Winter Event 2015

DeletedUser102187

Well , thanks for all that everyone. I do PvP fighting, and look out for good ones to help there, But I'll also take your advice about the other things too. It's not that I don't see anything, it's just I may have spent stars when I need to try several times to get a particularly good item.
Cheers

I am also hoping for a Hall of Fame in this event, excellent daily power towards your Guilds next level.
Fingers crossed also for Observatory BP's as it is the only (to my knowledge) GB that you cannot Aid for the BP's, making Events and donating to already constructed Observatorys the only way to get them...

i think that observatory bps only come in easter events (perhaps someone could confirm if this is correct)

On my special buildings guide:
Observatory

 • Type: Great Building (only useful to guilds)
 • Size: 3x3
 • Blueprints Obtainable From: Easter Event 2014, Soccer Event 2014, Winter Event 2014, Easter Event 2015
- Cannot be motivated/plundered
- (Goods produced) will upgrade to your current era automatically

No Age

Originally built to look at celestial events, the towering Observatory gathers knowledge that proves to be unrivaled in its value for alliances. Aside from watching the stars and the sky, monitoring terrestrial events helps to detect new resources and to gain an edge over the competitors.

This building increases support pool bonus and provides you with each good in the current era which go straight to the Guild Treasury.

*The only way to obtain BPs from the Observatory is from the special events listed above, donating to another Observatory, or spending diamonds once you obtain at least one BP from it. You cannot gain these using any other method

Plus, I think I saw it on beta a few days ago

DeletedUser106685

Observatory BPs and Hall of Fame will both be coming. They were there on beta, so they will come here also.

I won the gingerbread house recently, and although it provides happiness, when motivated the happiness stays the same (only the coins double). Is that a glitch?? I play on iphone.

Nearly 2 weeks into the event and still have not had a reason to use my stars. Still waiting for a good gift worthy of using the stars.

Diamonds weren't good enough?? Gee whiz money bags, not sure what will be good enough! Lol HoF?

Can't believe all the complaints reading back this thread! Some I guess can be attributed to inexperience, but some are plain silly! I reckon it's a good thing that there aren't prizes you want everyday, allowing you to build the stars up. Came in handy to get diamonds, Reno kits, +50 stars etc. And in six cities all at different levels, personally I'm not having too much trouble doing the quests each day, though I admit the quests to acquire sectors without fighting are very costly in the later eras! But it's a small setback in time to keep gathering stars. Keep up the good work Inno, the events are fun and yes there are people who appreciate them!

I couldn't agree with you more.

welcome to the forums and great first post

it always rattles my cage when players complain about these events.

if players don't like them then simply don't click on Frosty or the event icons and give those who do enjoy them some peace.

personally, all i wanted was a reno kit and anything else would be a bonus.....i got my reno kit, rail gun range (which is right at the end of the tech tree meaning that it would be a long time away due to me stopping the tech tree for a while) 2 x supply buildings also further down the tech tree and a further 3 military buildings also not researched.....add on some fp packs, extra medals and all for doing a few simple quests (and has not cost me a penny) and i'm sure there are more goodies to come plus the confectionary at the very end.

sometimes you don't get the very best prize(s).........during the summer event i saw players gain dozens of fp producing bazaars....i got only one, but didn't start moaning about it as i looked at it from the glass half full side of things rather than the glass half empty....... the one i got was one more than i had before the event.!!

i love these events, roll on easter time as that is my favourite :p

It is a very long event so great prizes everyday would make the game too easy. Diamonds were a good prize, so were reno kits for me. I really like the event: the guild is alive with reports of sucess and crackpot theories on patterns in the prizes.

I have a question regarding the event quest which requires building residentials. Must they complete to receive credit for the quest or do you receive credit when you first place them?

You receive credit when you place residential buildings:)

Noticed on Dec. 23 that you have to scout a province. I'm working in the last province I have on my Colonial Age map as of now with only 3 sectors left to take over and that is one of the remaining tasks listed in the Winter Event. My only other province(the bonus province) only has one sector remaining to conquer also. There are no provinces remaining on my map to scout for Dec. 23. I still have Technology to research in the Colonial Age before I can advance to the Industrial Age. How will I be able to scout a province to advance myself in the Winter Event and finally finish it or will that be it for me?
