I wonder if there's a premium culture building in an era that can overrank say Pavilion hap/sq wise. Or a maypole.

They will likely not sell upgraded pillars. Otherwise, get one for 1500 then 6 upgrades for ~1000 apiece, here you are, a lv7 pillar for 7500. Or twice more pricey should they desire so. If you say "within the event", provided you have an extra lv1 pillar, either get 6 upgrades for touchdowns (600 yards, ~30 balls/yard, 4 diamonds/ball = 72000, plus maybe daily specials would net you another one) or target daily specials (provided you don't get the best choice each time, about 150 balls per 10% DS chance on average, 4 diamonds/ball - 6000d/upgrade, 36000d per 6 upgrades). About the same value, I think.
