Why future events should NOT be like the Summer Event

In poker you can estimate the probabilities of winning, in this wheel u can estimate the cost of actual (usually) quaranteed winnings. It wouldn't feel like much gambling to me if I'm willing to spend 4k diamonds and I know it gets me 4 of those buildings I target and see on that wheel. But people want higher success rate than that and are often tempted to taking risks. Or they can just hope to hit "lucky". I quess that's the gambling aspect indeed, I can actually see your point yeah.

Thats not my point and I actually agree with you to an extent.
What I'm arguing here is that if there is indeed an intent by Inno of incorporating betting/gambling into their game, then they should sell it as casino/roullette, not as an summer event of a family game.

it is so powerful i see many players jumping into the lastest age to reap the most out of it... in my opinion, those free premium cultural buildings are definitely the most powerful attraction... :rolleyes:

The events arent always the same. There are events that allow a breakout from the norm. This one was to help people get buildings that are gone and unique. Plus other rewards. I think its a great event. Though the easy answer is.... if you dont like the event. then dont play the event.

Yeah I don't see the big deal with this is. I heard of people in Alabama screaming that electronic bingo was the tool of Satan and that it would lead to the State's demise. This is a completely subjective moral view that you have no chance of convincing people who feel differently otherwise. It is a fresh take on the complete quest->get reward cycle

The only thing that's probably not great idea is the diamonds rewards and potentially wishing wells because these can be gained from other servers, it allows players to gain a definite advantage over those who only play on 1 server. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of being able to gain diamonds as a non-purchaser here, but I'd rather diamonds to be separate asset specific to each server rather than being shared across the whole EN platform.

Other than that, I love the event.

Add me to the "not especially impressed" list. The tickets are too expensive and too scarce compared to the quantities of junky prizes. The egg event was a lot more gratifying: The eggs didn't seem expensive; giving them to other people was pleasant; and having control over the prizes we chose made it all a lot more fun - and therefor got me to spend a lot more money than this event.

i like the event gives players chance to have different things in villages instead of all having the same stuff and keeps you on yours toes too wait for a good wheel to turn up with good prizes

the summer event is great and for those of us who love it tell all u folk who hate it to stop acting like a bunch of cry babies and throwing your teddy out of the cot at the end of the day foe work very hard to try their best to make us enjoy the game more if you don't like it u know where the door is am sick of listening to all you complainers id like to see you do better than foe

Sorry to hear that this event did not impress some people.
Imho, this is the best event i have ever witnessed. It's true that the east event was great with those watch fires, wishing wells and rogue hide out etc... but what make this event so much interesting is, we were not knowing at that time of the old events how much special was those special buildings and which one to prefer than others. But now during this event, we can wait and grab almost the gist of all those previous events; just need to be patient for the right time to put your tickets in to the wheel :cool:

regarding the easter event, it is definitely a boost for players who have a full guild list and full friend list all active pple burying eggs around the clock. for me who plays alone and only about 40friends at that time and only around half are active helping me, it wasn't too easy. but did i complain? :rolleyes:

at the end of the easter event i still managed to exchange 1 wishing well and a rougue hideout wif those few eggs i collected cos some of them gave bursts of 20 or 50 during the collection. then i use eggs to recruit 2 rougues and that's all i have none enough for the exchange of anything else. but did i complain? :rolleyes:

u choose your own path and then u live it with pride. if u really are very angry about other players getting diamonds from the wheel but u are not getting any, then maybe u can use your ticket to refresh the wheel everytime u see there are diamond prizes cos u know u will not be getting it anyways. who knows, maybe the auto spin and stop after the refresh will get u a better prize instead? but then those neighbors who saw u do that might hate u forever... :rolleyes:

for this summer event i am already prepared to stop when i get the next research tech quest, cos i do not want to go into the new age. i see so many players going into new ages to get more benefits from this event. why am i so certain? cos i see they put down those beach bars and all other prizes are from industrial age, but the city hall has turned progressive. are we going to say that this event is a conspiracy to get players as far into the tech tree as possible then? :rolleyes:

u always have a choice. choose, and be happy. :cool:

this event has been a lot of fun .and i have won a good spread of prizes..i have a whole city sitting in my inventory..and no space to build it ..:)

even if many of us loved and still love this event i can 100% say this is worst event ever, this event will make all rest events silly and lame.
this event give us 30 tikets and if you are smart and patient you can spend this tikets very wise and by only getin jackpots, if you r patient you can get from those 30 tikets 5 wishing wells and 1000 diamonds per world and this is what makes this event bad.diamonds and wishing wells r only good stuf or atleast which i call good stuf bcz as you progres all rest stuff will eventualy get deleted.

Only problem I have is they stopped the merges during the event and that's always needed, even more so as it was so new and buggy for a lot of people so now they have to wait at least 3 more weeks for any hope to the 2 they already suffered through.

Ehh watchfires and rogue hideouts are always nice especially for people that were not around for the last event they came from or the newer servers.

Otherwise some free diamonds is always fun.

The devs went out of their way to come up with a great set of quests and great prizes, and they succeeded. I have played a lot of other online games, but I have yet to see an event that compares to this one. The prizes, with a few exceptions, are really useful, and some could almost be called game changers. I don't understand the criticism of this event.

It's a little bit of luck (to find/get the best items you're looking for), and as you said it's a BIG game changer: if someone is on holidays or busy during this time, they are really missing out on ALOT...
