Manual fighting is this: non-rouge unit stays behind. Rouges go ahead and kill everyone.
That's the plan, anyway. I go for the ranged units first. If there are rouges, then I kill them, so they don't kill me. I try to not leave my rouges within reach, and only approach enemies when I can actually hit them.
That's pretty much it.
