Last year we had a Nutcracker (decoration) and a Confectionary (supply building), but it was a questline like the Halloween one, not a full event. This sounds more like what we've seen during Easter and the Casino event, since it does involve a new currency and the ability to obtain past event rewards.

I'll say it right here, I rather like the sound of getting a new quest every day from the usual questline that you can complete in a few days and then you'll have nothing new to do if you rush through it. Plus, it values daily activity rather than a rush completion. The only downside might be if someone's going away for a few days, they'd miss out on some quests.

Just as long as the questions are all written in English, and in a plain tongue, else we'll end up with another 30 odd page thread of everyone asking what they are meant to be doing like the "Halloween Quests ....." for the second successive year. I would have thought the developers would have learnt from last years fiasco. Why do you cause threads to be written having to explain every single quest which only goes to promote extra work for all involved here.

half the fun is trying to figure it out. If you dont think thats fun then you dont have to do it *shrug*

You don't know the answer to one question → By your logic, solutions shouldn't exist, therefore you will never get your graveyard. If you don't want spoilers, don't click 'em.

You obviously didn't read what I said. I haven't asked any question about the halloween, but it does seem like "30 pages worth" have. Here it is "let's create a questline that is workable out" - and then you go and answer every guy that bleats!

Hardly a puzzle.

The halloween quests were actually straight forward, I spent more time answer other people queries than actually working out the answers

there was not fun in it even litle bit, it was anoyin to read msg where ppl always ask for answers, next year make it simple so all can understand it

Then where's the fun in it? I agree with Blacksmith here. It wasn't too challenging to figure out, but it was tricky enough for me to enjoy the time spent on it :)

The same here, I agree with byeordie.

The fun is in figuring out what I should do. It's the ordinary missions that are boring!

@byeordie "By making one player have only BA military and goods in his/her city. That itself will cause a big drop in points for that player hence it not be possible to keep him/herself in the top 80"

Not really. This isn't even close to being the case with people who have alcatraz. Plus the lower age military buildings are really small comparatively, so it isn't exactly an either/or scenario. You could easily have both. Goods really isn't too much of a hurdle either if you are smart. There is no need to build lower age goods buildings if you just befriend people in that age.

The top 80 will also have a huge advantage in GB boosts, so they won't even need as many troops

Even some of us not on the top 80 will have a good advantage in boosts, by the time GvG finally gets here, all three attacked gb's should be at maximum and I should also have the alcatraz on Fel (currently zues 50 aachen 45 and del monte 40)

My conclusions weren't limited to top 80, that was just used as an example range because the comment I was replying to specifically mentioned that range.

I look forward to the Christmas event and hope it goes along a similar route as the Easter egg event, which for me has been the best event FoE has seen so far, I noticed a snow globe / paper weight building in countess's announcement.....perhaps we could be hiding these in each other's cities? I like the idea of collecting things and then using them for awards ( not random like the casino event but fixed prizes like the Easter event) getting the chance to 'buy' some more watch fires would be good and could help balance the attack v defence side of pvp

The easter event was very entertaining and actually a very good way of assisting guild members etc, I did quite well egg wise and spent most of the prizes on getting additional forge points which boosted other players gb's and gave me the bp's I needed to the the gb's I wanted quicker than woukd have been possible without the boost - I think I dustributed well of 300 additional forge points during the easter event

I agree with BS here. It was fun and entertaining, the two objectives a game is expected to deliver.

Since I have ventured on to the spoilers thread, I think for us it's important to see some updates rather than new era, GvG, etc. For example, Army Management definitely needs major updates before GvG. We need to be able to filter by attached/unattached. Battle system for PE and above needs performance improvement. Then there is the issue of duplicate blue prints that stands unresolved till date. Guild Forum is another area that needs some attention.. I think there is plenty for majority of small players to achieve before things like new era are rolled out for a very small minority of the community. And besides, it is rather discouraging for the new players to see a top ranked player at 4million+ whereas he/she is moving at 100-200 points a day despite their best efforts while a player like me moves at 40k points a day. And we might not get many fresh players because of such difference. I receive at least 2-3 queries every week from new players in Brisgard about how I got to such a large points total while they find it extremely slow. They wonder if I have been playing this game for 5+ years, not knowing that it's only about 20 months old. Nobody wants to play a game that takes 5 years to reach 5 million points :D

So... please get the pending issues fixed before releasing any more of the new content.
