http://www.hse.gov.uk/temperature/law.htmI'm in the UK, never heard of that law
This is also true for Australia! OH&S would send everyone home if it was reported...... Unfortunately you may not get a very warm welcome upon return (even if the heating is fixed)In the U.K. there is a minimum temp work places can be. It’s 16oC or so. Aren’t there laws for you? Do you have a thermometer to check the temp? You might have to go home for health and safety reasons.
I thought one work place (in a permanent portacabin) was breaking the rules but the temp never got below 18 but it felt so so cold. Extra jumpers and putting up with it.This is also true for Australia! OH&S would send everyone home if it was reported...... I read that but:
when hot past 31 degrees celsius here in Canada companies have to send emplyees home
I read that but:
"These temperatures are not absolute legal requirements" so doesn't count for anything as it's only a recommendation
My office little plug in radiator is struggling heroically but is starting to warm the place up a bit

Just like my job, work 24/7 if needed for the same pay
Luckily where I am now is more standard hours but other positions in the past I was constantly getting called out at horrible times of the night and a weekendsI have subordinates working across different shifts 24/7, so I am responsible 24/7 for a fixed salary.
Even for medals?I feel like posting here 24/7 many shifts across the week for chance of the same “salary”
Not even enough to buy breadEven for medals?
Winners will be announced late in the evening
