When it's rainy season, rains are expected, but when it's not, it's hard to accept raining for over a week.

Well, there are arks built in my vicinity, so I'm yet on the safe side ;) also if there would be a need of an ark, the waters would need to first cover half of New York before ever hitting our doorstep XDD

I prefer a probabilistic approach, covering more probable risks o er less probable. And currently it's more likely that I'd get hit wih a meteorite than with a flood worth building an ark. ;)

Watch NASA asteroid survey to have a chance to evade the biggest ones, or better, get close but not too close to have a chance at seizing a sample, or at least get a view of it entering atmosphere. Against the rest, maybe... splat?
