Forwarded: Streamlined method to access the towers/tournament tables

General
Proposal: A new, simpler method to access the towers/tournament tables

Have you Checked the Ideas section for the same idea posted by someone else? Yes
Is this idea similar to one that has been previously suggested? Yes - similar in some ways to tower access through army management (in that both provide for a simpler access to tournament listings but the method differs)

Also suggested recently in game discussions, but that was not a fully-fledged idea/proposal, merely a request that it be done with no details as to how.

Reason: Currently, especially since the introduction of the new maps (IndA and PE), accessing the towers is rather cumbersome. There are 2 methods; one for accessing the towers you are eligible for and have entered this week, and another for accessing the towers for which you are eligible, but have not yet entered during the current tournament. The former involves clicking on the town hall>news>event history, then scrolling to the summary for the tower one wishes to view and clicking on it to finally open the table, while the latter involves clicking on the map button>ship (if not wishing to view a tower in the current continent)>correct continent, scrolling through the map to the tower one desires to view, then clicking on it!

Details: Instead of the two, separate and rather cumbersome methods described above, each involving multiple clicks and a good deal of scrolling, my proposal involves using the 'available medals' display at the top of the screen in the player's city, to access both the towers for which the player is entered for the current tournament, and those for which s/he is eligable but has not yet entered. This would work in a similar manner to accessing the global rankings tables via the global ranking display.

Simply clicking on the medals display would display a window with tower thumbnails, similar to the current one at the top of the event history, with the exception that the player would, from this list, be able to view any tower for which s/he is eligable, and not just those in which s/he is currently competing. Any towers for which s/he is not eligable would be greyed out as at present.

Visual Aids:

would bring up this -

Snapshot_2013-08-20_152805 Tower access proposal - Tower Thumbnails.png

From this screen, the player would simply be able to click to access any of the towers for which they are currently eligible whether entered for them or not.

In the above image, the player is eligible for (has unlocked) all towers up to HMA, and has entered the current tournament for BA, IA and EMA, but not yet entered the current tournament for HMA. These four (HMA included) would be clickable to view the tournament standings, but the rest of the towers (LMA - PE) would not be clickable, since the player has not yet unlocked them.

Balance: Doesn't change game balance

Abuse Prevention: I can't see any possible abuse of this proposal

Summary: A new, streamlined, integrated method for accessing all towers for which a player is eligible, in a single location - the available medals display - giving quick and easy access to the tournament listings.

Excellent idea, very good solution to the existing problem, inline with the current interface.

I give a +1 to this as well - it might encourage more competition too

Would save a lot of unnecessary hassle!

This suggestion is over a year old, how many more +1s do we need before it is forwarded to devs? Amazed this hasn't been implemented already

This is a good idea and would make checking on tower progress when not actually fighting battles a lot easier than the current method, therefore I give this idea a +1

Good idea, I would just no include the Towers images, otherwise sooner than later scrollbars or some sort o pagination would be needed in this pop-under. Something like this:

But correctly aligned, maybe with more space between each category and perhaps without the curved border. But this is up the designers.

The remaining time for the tower could go in a tooltip when hovering the Age name. That way several more age can be added without short-medium term changes.

+1, I access the towers a lot these days and quite do not like the extra clicking necessary to open one panel..

I like this image too...
