timing of aid

would someone explain the timing of aid for me?
I aided everyone of my guild and friends yesterday evening, this morning some say no aid for 11hrs and some are open to be aided.
Does the fact that they have aided back reset the timer?

No, it does not reset the timer.
New players were added to your neighbor , guild or friend list.

No new members were added to our guild since yesterday evening (apart from one who joined for about five minutes during the small hours and then left again); is it possible that you simply skipped some people on the list by accident? Alternatively, it's possible that you were unable to aid some of us last night because you had already done so less than 24hrs earlier, so that their timers were running from a different start point and have now expired.
I've certainly been in both of these situations!

NB I've checked my events log back to 5:40pm yesterday (which is as far as it goes), and I can't immediately see an aid from you in there - am I one of the people showing up as open to be aided?
