Not a Bug: construction problem

In the winter event, I got an arcade house in the gifts, and started building it. I accidentally put an apartment in the same spot, and the arcade house disappeared. It did not reappear in the inventory or anywhere else, and it was not sold for coins or supplies.

When building a house over another house your refund will show like in the images above. This example is replacing a Hut with a Chalet. Unlike when you use the sell button there's no popup each time.
