I'm after spending about a 1/4 of that priceThat's one more reason I'm not getting a Chromebook, then.
What about a GPD MicroPC? Okay, it's not necessarily for kids.

Doesn't Chromebook require an internet connection for it to function? In other words, no internet, no Chromebook
Got one of them but kids can't do homework on them
15yr old has one but 9yr old doesn't.Ironically my smartphones work better for homework than Android tablets but I really don't want to let my kid have a phone.
Goodnightgoodnight everyone.
Time for bed
My eldest only has one because she has to walk to school on her own otherwise she wouldn'tI see kids as young as 9 yrs old having a smartphone at school, and I just don't think that's right. As soon as school lets out, they whip out their phones and start texting to each other. Then they all gather together and text to each other. Some of the parents have named them the "smart kids" I mean, you're all together but you're texting to each other!!
Good night Cleverly
