Reward for levelling up

Am I right in thinking that there are rewards for levelling up?
I am a fairly new player and just reached High Middle Ages today, I am sure a box popped up with rewards (supplies etc) for levelling up, but I didn't get any!
Help...??

You get rewards when you age up. Contact Support if you think you did not get any.

The other 'reward' that you get each time you Age up, is the opportunity to buy military units, special buildings and maybe goods (memory failing on this) - so of course you would not get any unless you accepted the 'offer' and bought it.
