Return to Province on Previous World Map

I have a Story Quest that can't be aborted that requires me to take control of a province. I have just realised that this province is on a previous world map (I am scouting the first province on the new map). Is there any way of returning to the previous world map? If not, how can I get rid of the quest?

Enter the Map. Then look for a vehicle at the edge of the Map. Click it to change what Age map you're on

Aahhh - I think I've figured out the problem. I could get onto the right world map, but couldn't access the province I need. I've just realised that is because I'm already scouting the new world, so I can't scout two places at once.
