pvp tower remaining time

Hello!

I am just curious if the remaining time in the pvp-towers goes up if a new player begins to fight.
For example lets say i am the only one in the HMA tower and the remaining time is 2 days. Now another
player advances to HMA and starts to fight with units from this age. Does the time stay at 2 days or is
it raised to give the other player a chance to win the competition.

I am asking this because i had such a situation once and i was not sure if the timer added some days or
if i did not remember the remaining time right.
