Proposal:
Add an acnievment reflecting first-place placing in the PvP tower.
Reason:
At present, there is no way to show-off (boast) of coming first. The only people who will know are the neighbours you've been beating up to get that 1st place.
Details:
I'm thinking that the levels could be:
1. Came first on the PvP Tower.
2. Came first on the PvP Tower in two ages in the same week.
3. Came first on the PvP Tower in four ages in the same week.
- or -
1. Came first on the PvP Tower.
2. Came first on the PvP Tower three weeks running (in the same age?)
2. Came first on the PvP Tower seven weeks running (in the same age?)

Balance:
Doesn't really affect balance though it might mean troop buildings are kept around for longer.
Abuse Prevention:
While writing up the first set of possibilities - to achieve based on numbeer of ages - it ocurred to me that highly experienced players could end up creating spear barraks just to get another age. So long as their neighbours aren't newbies but are other experienced players having the same idea, I don't see an issue.
Summary:
Although there is an achievement award for number of battles won, this does not allow a player to broadcast that they have bested their neighbours. A Tower win (it's not just PvP, I know) will be something to be proud of displaying.
