that Jester guy is also a major money waist, I recall once he gave me some troops, but it's not effective economically at all.
does anyone who proceed later in the game found any of those quests useful?

they are errr... risk investments I guess. I just did a jester quest to pay 600 or so coins for a mystery reward and it was 5 iron, so it depends on your luck.

He gives 2 legs, 20 jewellry and 25 diamonds through out his quests.
don't be fooled, all of those are useless unless no one in your group has jewellry.
