Forge of Empires - Official In-Game Rules
1) One account per player
Each player may have one account per world. Each account may have only one owner and may not be logged into or played by any other person. Sharing your password with another player on any world you play is forbidden. It is forbidden to create multiple accounts and support and trade between them.
Examples:
It is allowed for two or more players to use the same Computer, provided each player only controls the actions of his/her assigned account.- Knowing, storing, or asking passwords for other accounts on worlds you play is 100% forbidden. If another player sends you their password, you must always report them; otherwise you risk your own account being banned.
- You may not access ANY other account on ANY world you play, even if it belongs to a family member.
It is forbidden to play for another player if they are temporary gone, or for any other reason. - It is strictly forbidden to force entry to an account.
- It is forbidden for more than one player to be logged in to an account at the same time.
2) Playing on a shared connection
Playing on a connection with multiple people is allowed however some restrictions apply. Operating a push account is forbidden. This is defined as routine resource transfers from one account to the next. If our tools detect pushing behavior, or we see evidence that one person is controlling multiple accounts (multiaccounting) our support team may contact you. Strong evidence of illegal behavior may result in a ban directly.
3) Communication
Insulting other players and the use of language in an abusive/offensive context is forbidden.
We do not accept profiles, player names, village names or any other publications that the Administration finds to be illegal, insulting, threatening, abusive, real-life-aggressive, sexual, politically incorrect, right extreme, religiously fanatic, racist or in any way inappropriate.
It is forbidden to advertise other games, post inappropriate content or links to such, or post links to moneymaking sites.
Phishing or blackmailing players for passwords or ingame content is forbidden. Spamming other players with in-game mails is abusive and will not be tolerated.
Examples:
- It is allowed to refer to a player as a beginner (noob) and to criticize their way of playing using appropriate language.
- It is against the rules to impersonate any staff member.
- It is forbidden to post pornographic links in the profile or on any other medium.
- Racist, illegal, discriminatory or inappropriate names will lead to an immediate game ban.
- Using any profanity, insulting language, or being abusive towards any staff member in the support system is grounds for a permanent ban.
- We ask players to not use account names that include whole email addresses or full names, for player safety.
4) Language
This Forge of Empires server is an English game. The use of other languages in the game is forbidden. This means all profiles, mails, forum posts and any other publication must be in English.
A short phrase in another language is permitted, provided that this is translated to English either directly following or preceding it.
Support tickets must also be created in English, otherwise we will not reply.
5)Account trading
It is not allowed to play accounts for commercial purposes. It is not allowed to sell, buy or offer accounts or parts of accounts in exchange for Premium points or any other outside benefit. Trades involving more than one game world are also forbidden.
Examples:
- Selling your account online(for example on ebay) is not allowed.
- It is forbidden to offer resources as a reward for attacks on other players, or to ask for payment in return for attacks. A reward cannot be offered for anything that might incite attacks or any actions against other players
6)Bots and scripts
It is strictly forbidden to use bots or scripts. Players using such will be punished severely, up to and including a permanent ban.
Examples:
- it is strictly forbidden to use browser add-ons or scripts that automatically collect your resources, using programs that mimic premium features or provide an unfair advantage, and/or to use click-bots or scripts that minimize your manual clicks.
7) Bugs
Each player is required to report serious or critical errors immediately to game support. A player must not take advantage of a bug, in doing so they have violated the rules.
Examples:
- If you notice that a player is abusing the system you must report him.
- If you notice a spelling error or typo, you do not need to report it.
8) Fair-play
It is expected that each and every player acts respectful towards other players, and the Innogames staff. This means following the rules and creating a fun and fair environment for players. The administrators of Forge of Empires are the final arbiters of any rules dispute. Their interpretation of these rules is final. We reserve the right to exclude anyone from the game. Depending on the severity of a breach, players have the right to appeal via the Support System
Examples:
- Mistreating the support team or abusing the support tool can also result in an account ban.
- These rules can be altered or adapted to different cases.
