I'm not sure it's ever coming out. But when the html5 version of the game comes out (planned for the first half of 2018) you might be able to do GvG from your phone's browser.

have you tried using the puffin browser, it's a bit laggy but it runs the game as it does on a laptop.

is there a problem with puffin browser ? one of my members downloaded it but says FoE does not work on it

Guild Expeditions was released to compensate for lack of GvG on app version of the game. This suggests that there are no plans to bring GvG to app.
