Defence boosts are city defence only. With the exception of Terracotta Army, CDM, Zeus and COA.

that makes things a bit easier.Lighthouse of Alexandria will be your best friend at this stage of your development.
You could also check your inventory for Guard Post Selection Kit from the event that just ended. One of the options in there provides boost to supplies.

You could build as many of the smallest supply buildings as you can, run 24hour cycles and do recurring quests. Lotsa supplies and other stuff like fps.
