they are great if Google apps are sufficient for you.
They don't run on iOS or Windows, so some of these other software may not run:
1) FOE
2) Adobe
3) Microsoft Office
4) Any other iOS, Android or Windows based software.

Sorry, no experiences with it. For most of my work, I need Windows though, so it's not really an option for me personally.

Really just need something for kids homework, Google docs etc is pretty good alternative to office which I have now but don't really use

FoE App would work, I guess, that's on Android.

For Google docs and stuff, it should be okay.

To be honest, most people would find it useful, I believe. Very few people need Windows or Mac specifically.

They run on Chrome OS not android.

No I've just been reading and you have to get an android capable one and even then not all apps work

Chromebook is principally a Linux kernel based OS. Just install dual OS on PC or laptop.

What about a GPD MicroPC? Okay, it's not necessarily for kids.
