The idea being for a player to be able to select which units are used in their armies 8 slots for battles like GBG- ie for InA you could select 1 X howitzer, 1 X Rifleman & 6 X Rogues- then they are auto replaced as they lose health, which can be chosen from the settings, ie Howitzer hits half life, its removed & replaced with the next Howitzer in the armies management with the highest health, etc, etc til all healthy units are depleted then it would start playing the units til they expire.
This would be a change in the way Battle Grounds is played through sheer speed of fights- but considerations on how to approach a 2 wave fight, how high to take your Traz, how high does your Units att def% need to be, etc, would appear.
If these aren't matched correctly it would be a case of unit churn & burn- so low level Attack GBs would need to be worked on- same as a Traz.
This would also, hopefully, be a deterrent from the scripts that some players accuse other players of using- why take the extra chance to run a cheat/hack when there is this in place?
In addition it would give some lower tier guilds the speed to conduct co-ordinated fast strikes on more powerful guilds, disrupting pre-arranged swaps & potentially forcing the bigger guilds to bring these lower guilds to the table, that would be a welcome change from being beached season after season for these less powerful guilds.
The mechanics for a change like this already exist, to a degree. We can all select a defensive army- this is just an elaboration on that, with some more customizable player control measures that can be tuned to the players preference.
