3 rivals, Is the person that decided that we should have a rival on Xmas eve and Xmas day or New years eve and new year's day getting a brain for Christmas?
Has to be one of the two, there's only so many Tuesdays for it to start. It's probably the only event where we actually need to know when they're actually planned for.

Who cares. It's just a money grab, so if they grab less it is their problem. We just should stop giving feedback on this. It is not like they ever listen. It isn't used as feedback anyhow. It is just a platform for us to express our frustrations and give us the idea our opinion matters. It doesn't.

I'm under no illusion on anything relating to feedback and use of that feedback. As you stated the platform is here for several reasons so I fine using it as I want, I've never been concerned if they even collate it or pass anything on.

1 200 guild goods on the Crystal Cascade (Winter Calendar) is big. That's one and a half level 80 guild goods Great Building on a 3x4, with a lot of other good stuff.
And a dog sled on the Sled Pup Monument. Always fun to have
I'll go for the calendar as this will give me both buildings and as usual a crap load to sell at the AD.

200 frags - Gaining at least bronze in the league
200 frags - In the calendar (4x50)
100 frags - For completing all the quests
Leaves 300 for rivals unless I missed some somewhere. Certainly not doing rivals on Xmas eve and Xmas day so heading towards collecting just a load of uncompleted frags in the inventory for me, it can keep the allies company.

Does anyone else want them to remove events/rival quests that require you to make people enthusiastic or recruit troops of previous age? Once I hit one of these quests, I am done. One of my cities is -627K happiness. the only way to complete this quest is to store my entire city. Why give us buildings that are fantastic if the negative effect on happiness prevents us from completing quests? The same for previous-age troops. I don't have any one-down kits in two of my cities and have not found a way to even get them so no way to complete the quest. I am getting to the point where I don't even bother completing any quests since I know at some point that I will hit one of these quests that will stop me in my tracks.

Why should anyone want to remove the easy quests? If you have -627K happiness that is your problem, not a reason to make changes. Same applies to previous age troops. More than enough ways to solve that. As a last resort you can build a previous age barracks.

why would I want to remove buildings that give 5K FP a day just so I can have an enthusiastic population? that is not a good trade-off. At least offer up an "or" quest

Easy quests do not need an "or". This is a strategy game. If your strategy is to have an unbalanced city and go for that 5K fp, you should accept you miss out on other things.

You could try buying Enthusiasm from the Friends Tavern to see if that completes it

Anyone else experiencing lots of "bug" and glitches with this event, this seems to be the worse ever, players being kicked off, screens freezing, not being able to enter and clear buildings, not being able to access event mini game and some severe lags on mini game. The list seems endless, seriously thinking of giving up, but the glitches are also world dependant, got one guild member frozen out of event on Brisgard but perfectly able to play on Langendorn and the usual " fixes" are not helping

Daily quest requirements one of which asks for continent map negotiation without the option of "or". I am finished continent maps up to SASH which doesn't allow negotiation due to dark matter. Is there a way around this or is it just not doable

Are you sure it's continent map negotiations? Not sure ive ever seen that one but I never have any map open more than a day for years so dont even read them they just complete, if you've finished the maps any quests relating to the map auto complete. Do you have a screengrab?

Ah OK, fully understand now, this is for the Daily Challenge not a daily quests for the Winter event you've posted in.
You've not completed the continent map and I'm guessing you're not in SASH? If you dont have the capability to do as the task requires just sit it out. With it being the Daily Challenge rather than the event daily quest the reward will be minimal and you can still do the event. If it was a daily quest for the actual event you would have a lot more issues.

Didn't make myself clear to start with sorry, but yes no choice but to let it go. Just 30 in normal daily quest lost, no big deal, did wonder if I was missing a way around it. Thank you for replying

No, on events when they put a blockers in quests players camping or in lower eras but ahead in some places in your situation usually scream loud enough till they adjust them or add an OR so they can be done usually at beta stage or the next event.
Daily Challenge got abandoned years ago, don't think they adjusted any quests for years or looked at the mechanic again after they released it, so the blockers just block, not that it creates a huge impact.

there just aren’t enough bells to go round. You can’t use them each day as you know you will need them for Rival. All I do is the task each day then that’s it. I’ve been playing 10 years and the event mechanics just got too complicated, too many choices and you can’t generally progress without spending. Only event I like is St Pats.
