Why does the friends context menu now disappear?

So, I play mostly on mobile and this morning, when wanting to do AID and tavern rounds, I have noticed that - unlike it has been so far - the context menu above the friend immediately disappears once I've clicked on Aid or on the tavern symbol. Why would you change that? Is it so that I have to spend twice as much time in the game? it wouldn't be the first time FoE has made such a dumb change. It used to be click friend - click aid - click tavern - go to next friend.
now it's click friend - click aid - click the same friend - click tavern - go to next friend.
it's clicking all friends twice. with >140 friends on the list, it's twice the time invested..
I hate this change.

I’ve noticed, over a longer time, it behaves sometimes “correctly” while at other times it doesn’t and that is annoying indeed.

I suspect that some minor bugs crept into the game with the Ghengis launch. Earlier today tablecloths disappeared from everyone's taverns on my PC/HTML. And then about 90min after I got up this morning, my sessions forced a reload, presumably for some bugfixes.
