You should find it quite enjoyable MSD, a change from the usual Mechanics which is nice. Tool purchase and use is the secret, {not that it is a secret}. Go for the biggest Packs, save for them if you must and try to be as efficient as you can in how you use them. The wide array of rewards is good and makes the Event a pleasantly rewarding time, {pun intended}. Planning is advisable but, as this is your 1st Archaeology Event you will have to learn on the job. It's actually quite easy to grasp so you should manage to do well and I hope that you do.

If you're in a Guild your fellow Guildies should help with Trades at an exchange advantageous to you. If you've going the long, hard solo route you will find it more difficult. GE and GBG can be very generous; the more you do the more your chances improve. Don't be too dismayed, the early stages are a stretch for all.
Also remember the "sources" for good Gen but above all, have fun with it and accept both gains and losses with good grace and a smile.
