Thank you, Dane.I find supplies tighter than coin in the upper eras (currently AF/OF).
Generally you get plenty of coin from your various housing and shrines (which I boost via my st marks). I currently do 5 repeating quests for coin to 1 for supply which gives you an idea of the relative availability. I have an RAH at level 6 and LHA at level 7 but I would like to push it further. So for my city etc I find RAH crucial and I haven't regretted building it ever. The goods can't be plundered... and the %boost means I can do with less supply buildings. Also by AF the rinbin unbirthday repeating quests cost 300k and 280k supply each time you roll the dice.. so millions get eaten up quickly - its worth having the percentage boosts.
Simply because that is the typical level at which a great building uses up less space than buildings contemporary to its age, when all cost of production factors, etc. are taken into account. Then add about one level per age between the GB's nominal age and the town's current age. Unless the GB is offering something uniquely beneficial for the player/town (e.g. attack bonus for an avid GvG or PvP player), it should justify its own existence compared to simpler and cheaper contemporary buildings.why 5-6
