Trading for coins

If you have the coins needed for something, but not the supplies, or other resources, is there any way to buy stuff for coins? Trading seems to work only for wine, marble and stuff like that.

Glenn

So theoretically, you could have 1000's of coins, but no possible actions... that kind a sucks :s

Saxon

right.
I have over 10k of useless coins...and never enough resources...

parabolic

If that's the case, then you have a balance issue. You can think of supplies as another type of gold coin that you need. Your houses produce one kind, and your production buildings produce the other. If you have too much of one and not enough of the other, then you should be using your excess population on production buildings. It's all about finding the sweet spot.

Glenn

Don't you need to have population before you can buy production buildings? And do both not require space...? A balancing issue it is, and a difficult one as well (at least for newbies like myself).
