Is it a bad time to start ? or wrong server?

Population very low?

I played this game for 2-3years on en1.
I want to start over but I am very discouraged when I see there are literally no trades. Only NPC 1:10 trades.

Without player trades with reasonable rates it's nearly impossible to advance.
