Event The Viking Event 2025 - Feedback Thread

Nidwin

Lieutenant Colonel
There's simply too much stuff packed during every event now requiring daily activity and sometimes multiple times a day. Events went from a fun aspect in FoE to a frustrating experience. The Eternal Market may be a nice building but for me it's not worth the amount of required time, effort and frustration. Let's not even mention that Pyre at 250 for frags (what's up Inno, not happy how it went during the Halloween event?) and I'm not going to even think about those Allies.

This Viking event was only good for my diamond farms for blue prints from Berserkers Aim (level 1 only) and that other building from the wheel with a lucky plat upgrade from the rune chest.

This is the feedback thread for the Viking Event! Read the announcement HERE and post your thoughts below!
Once again, the reliance is on participants paying real money. Far too many "Events", far too involved:

Inno: You are missing the trick entirely, as the audience you are trying to attract (participants [paying real money) mostly need
to work for living. As such, there is no time to engage in the myriad of ever repeating complicated "special" events, side-kicks,
expeditions, incursions etc etc etc etc. It is getting tedious, and I have already given up on one world. Am close to giving up
in my remaining world. There is simply no point any more: The powerful players who invested real money, are getting more
and more powerful, leaving ordinary players behind.
The game is clearly aimed at the american market, reflected in greed and spelling alike. A great, great pity.

Except if you have been very lucky with a lot of 20's on dailies and Incidents, the only way to achieve this without diamonds is by hoarding runes. Unfortunately only a few can do this in every neighborhood while shafting all other players. It's a despicable aspect of this event, especially with the the full main event building (lvl 10 and not silver or gold) at 1 500 and 100 frags for EM at 1 600.
I fully second that sentiment, Nidwin.

No they don't. That might have been the case at the start of the game, but these days, kids have money as well and they are allowed to spend it on games.

Inno can not see here the money comes from, but they can see what parts are bringing in the money. You are basing your comments on feelings. Inno decides on numbers. If it means they have to chase away all long time players to get better profits, they will.

Anyone else notice that almost every single DC reward is 5 coins? Not that even the best reward is worth talking about - but with 13 worlds in play, I probably have had 3 or 4 times when I got the 20, maybe as many 10s, don't recall a 15 at all. But TONS of 5s.

The rival is a pain, not worth doing. The game is boring. The prizes are meh. And the event building is an impossible dream. Yes, I have money to spend, but no, I won't spend it on this.

I reached 1 600 progress Yesterday on my youngest diamond farm as I wanted to try to have at least a level 10 main event building for the troops for it. Although the focus was on level 1 Berserkers first (16 on each of my 8 farms) so I only used coins to throw axes and didn't care about anything else offered during this event.

I compete all the challenges and threw my axes, did not spend anything on this event. I found it to be one of the most disappointing events I have seen from Inno to date. Only bothered to play it in one of my cities.

Wasn't there supposed to be a reward at the end of the Viking Event based on points (e.g. for Bronze/ Silver etc) - I don't seemed to have got anything even with 1884 points ... how would I know?

It's in your inventory.
