New Content The Third Quantum Incursions Championship: Feedback Thread

In some ways I'm actually finding the rotation of buildings all the time annoying - if you're not buying the pass and trying to accumulate fragments for level 2's and upgrades by simply participating with your guild, the last thing you need is to start over every time collecting fragments for yet another building. At least they have maps that offered the older buildings as rewards too.

If they offer too much new stuff and people rush toward that every time, especially this time in the abbreviated 4 season championship, a whole lot of players are going to end up with nothing but a pile of fragments for lots of different buildings and maybe no completed buildings.

That's already happening to me, except for the Neo Colossus which I have 7 times over, while I can't get to level 2 on neo rotunda or neo winners plaza or neo sentinel or neo tactician. The last thing I want is to collect fragments for yet another building when I can't complete the ones I have partial fragments for already.
I agree a great solution to the would be make all prize options a selection kit as i might want to build a different building then my guild chooses so no point for me to get the pass for a building i dont want. i think this many options would be making some avoid the pass or QI all together.

in the round im doing i have selected the original QI map but the pass still gives the new buildings not sure if this is a bug?

Lol....no I was thinking of the actual settlement buildings and units, goods ect changing..not Reward buildings, more than enough of those...I was thinking instead of Iron age buildings either a new era like Future or Colonial, any in fact except Iron age, it would give newer players a taste of what they can achieve later in game, or ...perhaps a completly new QI specific era, one no one has seen, its not if the graphics would be a problem and maybe unusual units with similar properties , just really some visual changes,

I actually chose the ones for the sentinel and tactician on 3 seperate worlds but got the King and Queen on all 3, that's got to be deliberate, not a bug

I've stopped doing QI as the novelty vanished and too much of a hassle during ten/eleven days. Tried it, enjoyed it, got bored and have what I wanted to get out of it.

I'm only continuing it until the details of the forthcoming changes ( at end of the current championship ) are announced, I will decide after reading those whether to continue or not, hopefully they will be an vast improvement as only cosmetic or minor alterations will not be enough to save this feature

that would require them to do actual coding lol. It would be good to see other ages but everything including size of the QI settlement and quicker than usual troop healing (iron age is the only one that was already super fast) would have to be reworked to fit with QI environment. A song from Aerosmith comes to mind.

Details of changes are now on Beta (Obviously they may change again after testing) Not to sure what they are or mean as I've never played QI, just a heads up for players that do.

It means F2P small and moderate populated casual guilds are getting shafted again. On P-world this means ouch ouch ouch under the usual top 40/45 guilds, 46 -> 1000 may want to buy some Vaseline as this is going to be painful. As a loner I was able to stay around 60/65 but the difference up to 45/45/50 wasn't that huge and they were moderate to big populated guilds.

But as usual, the big ones get it all and more while the poor fellas the massive nerf bat.

Out of curiosity as I've only be on the first 2 levels/maps in QI as a loner.

Do the amount and kind/strength of troops goes up level/map after level/map? Goes up as may be up to face double waves full of IA troops?

yes every level the fights get harder (more troops to defeat and/or with higher boosts) and eventually (maybe level 4?) you start getting 2 wave fights.

Thanks Ariana so these new changes announced on beta are going to hurt a lot of players, especially those building up their settlement during the first 3-4-5 days to have at least some extra fighting power they lack.

yeah, they made 12 levels of difficulty, and they auto advance you to them each day now :/ by the time it forces you to level 7 or above (and about the time your settlement is finished building up) the fights will be too hard for lots of players the last 5 days.

I have all the max settlement buildings, just completed Polynesia this week, and I think by level 9 (according to the chart below) it's going to be too hard for me, or too much troop loss to continue to do much.

The MAX QI boost available with all 6 settlement buildings at top level, plus the tourney grounds and forgotten temple, is 175% each QI red and blue. That caps you at around level 9 for being able to win fights, or you need potions or other things you most likely have to buy from events or the gold reward buildings that only go to the top 1%.

I guess I just won't play the last 3 days for level 10-12, no one will in my guild, and we're not going to be held hostage to make purchases to be able to play. Getting all 6 settlement buildings already took 6 months each - that's 3 years (36 months) of settlements. Getting the tourney grounds and temple requires being active all the time in GE and GBG too, so I dunno what they are smoking, but if they're looking for people's tolerance limits, I think they are close to finding it.

Thanks. Speaking of what someone has been smoking, in referring to the below about changes to Quantum actions... LOL. So we replace the ability to save up 450 quantum shards to buy 100,000 actions (which I can only manage to do about twice per season anyway playing for free) with buildings that make 50 actions per cycle?

II. Quantum Actions purchase behavior

Players can buy extra Quantum Actions needed to move between the nodes with Quantum Shards. There are three packages available. At the moment, the number of Quantum Shards you need to spend to buy a package increases once you buy one of them, but caps after four purchases. The cost resets daily at midnight.

With the new Championship, the Quantum Shards price will continue to increase with every purchased Quantum Actions package, meaning the price increase cap is removed. The cost will also no longer reset daily, but only once at the beginning of each season.

While players can still purchase Quantum Actions, this rebalancing aims to regulate extensive use of this option, thus narrowing the gap between different player groups and ensuring all players can enjoy the Quantum Incursions at a measured pace. We've also added the Quantum Actions regeneration effect to some Event rewards to allow players to gain more Quantum Actions naturally. Namely:

  • The Escutcheon Estate from the Fellowship Event 2024 that provides extra 50 Quantum Actions per recharge cycle.
  • The Yaga's Roost from the Halloween Event 2024 that also provides extra 50 Quantum Actions per recharge cycle.
Where did the person who came up with "50 Quantum Actions per recharge cycle" learn math?
  • A building giving 50 actions x 24 hours makes 1200 actions per day.
  • it takes 3500 actions to do anything! 3 days to get 3600 actions to make 1 fight or donation?
  • in an 11 day cycle having one of these buildings will net you 13,200 actions.
  • 13,200 divided by 3500 = 3.7 ; enough for almost 4 extra fights/donations per season? wow
This is not even worth the space or effort to collect the buildings for your city that do this, you would need 10 of them to match the benefit of buying 100,000 actions with quantum shards. I'm willing to bet on that it would cost too much money or diamonds to get 10 of them, and that they wouldn't have enough benefits other than quantum actions to make it worth doing either.

You're right and that's clearly not worth a damn vs simply buying every 2 days a set of shards at 1k diamonds like I did. With 5 x 1K diamonds a season I did 300 000+ Action Points a day, every day (with gold pass bought). As a loner I could only do the first 2 levels, complete first and some extra nodes on the second so I simply went for 5 butchers, 4 simple houses and 3 arena's and consumed every day 300 000 Action Points starting day 1.

in spending my starting actions in QI just now, I randomly won 5000 actions twice. I usually win 5000 actions at least once any time I spend a full bar of actions.

In the first minutes of QI I won actions equal to the "benefit" of one of those "50 actions per cycle" buildings for an entire season. <eyeroll>

Let's reverse engineer this, the buildings should give something similar to what I just randomly won, so let's say 2 extra turns per day or 7000 action points. 7000/24 cycles in a day = 291.67 actions per cycle, sooooo call it 300 actions per cycle. 300 would be reasonable, but 50 per recharge cycle is laughable.
