Event The Halloween Event 2024 Feedback Thread

Not even sure where to start with feedback. I like the old wheel version it's good to see it back. Being able to restart the tutorial is good too for info.

Getting rid of the daily special was a bold move. Basically because the wheel now has old ascended junk from previous events as gold rewards. Ascended buildings are complete tat, I have an inventory full of them I've bought on various events and they'll never get built. I have no interest in spending anything on ascended anythings. If I win some they'll just sit in inventory. I've spent quite a lot of time checking the wheel today and there's been absolutely nothing I want or have any interest in. Haven't even played once. Who ever asked for buildings that deteriorate after 10/30 days? absolutely no one.

Daily tasks; simply added as a way of getting players spending but due to above feedback absolutely pointless, why do I want more tickets and energy for old event rewards. There's a 0/6 on the mechanic so guessing there's more than 3 daily.

Energy rewards; haven't played yet so no idea what that's about.

Allies frags; Just bore off

Essentially main mechanic is good. Way too many additional mechanics to spend on around. Guessing Inno wants to continue the Q3 decline in sales into Q4

Edit just to add, check which epic kit you're trying to win. Someone thought it was intelligent to add both the 2023 and 2024 kits to prizes.

I agree with most of what you said.
The Wheel return is a welcomed return. (thank god, no stupid over-used matching game mechanic again).
Ascended - use it as a building if i want, but the upgrades and such, not being used, waste and hate the idea of deteriorating buildings. Still have a few prizes from the past couple years where the Prize deteriorated to Happiness only or whatever they were - in inventory, never used.
Tried the Event today a bit - thought initially getting that new Gold prize for the Joker Golden Kit might be good - but now that I have it, the stats are not that much of a deal, so something else I will not use. And yes, it is 6 daily's - gives more ghosts, tickets and whatever else for game currency.
Energy rewards - that is for another new building, a 4x4 called Elixer Emporium. Stats not bad, but it gives population and negative happiness, so not something really would want.
Allies - yep, just wasteless crap - in a sense, reminds me of that stupid Pier that we had for a couple years before enough negativity finally got Inno to take it back.
Rivals this time are a total joke - you do not have enough currency to play them fully and you need to finish them to get the new 'allies', or you just have another bunch of wasted frags sitting in inventory. Rivals this time is definitely designed for diamond/$ spenders. At least the players with more money than brains have something to flush down the toilet again.
Glad for the Wheel game, just disappointed with how much is involved with it and the total waste surrounding it.

Epic Halloween 2024 Selection Kit doesn't have Batsy Bar or Monster Box. Interesting actually.

They're in their own selection kit for some reason. There's what appears to be a very random thought process to the contents of these epic kits at the minute.

Yeah. I'm also completely disappointed by this event. Although main building can be useful, there is nothing else anywhere that I want to have for my city. And I won't even bother to go after rival or new Alexandar.

And be frank, I'm fully disappointed by this version of Alex. When they introduced Historical allies, I thought thtat there would be a new mechanics into this game. Some kind of another minigame entirely focused on gaining XP for them and levelling up these allies and such. But it seems these are also bunch of freebies that will keep trowing up randomly in every event in the form of frags of different classes. And most of these would just add in the huge pile of junk fragments of our inventory.

Anyone know if the golden event pass will give enough main building upgrades to get the golden version or will that require extra diamonds? I already bought one Elixir Emporium from the Energy Rewards and i just realized i'm supposed to ignore it if i want to focus on getting the main building.

You need to get quite a ways down the pass for even the 1st extra upgrade. Think it was 2100 before they even start to be awarded even on gold pass. I spotted that yesterday and one of the reasons I'm not buying the pass. It feels worse than the care event for main building levels on the passes etc.

I would usually say you'll be OK anyway if you got the pass and upto a couple of events ago would have said if you played everything and did the whole event you would be good for a couple of main buildings with the pass running too. If you do everything now but ignore the chests I think you'll be fine for one building though with the pass as back up.

Golden pass gives you a siilver and golden upgrade right at the start. Main building you can get even without that. Gold and silver will make that even easier.

Something is a bit odd with Yaga's Roost. It doesn't have a production, only yellow stars requiring motivation and the icon on the left side when you hoover over the building indicates medals as primary production.

That's strange as it doesn't show medals as any production only those QI whatevers. Cemetery had medal production.

That's why they created this whole rivals thing.
Not necessarily - in some previous events the Rivals quest rewards themselves have provided sufficiently large amounts of event currency to complete the quest line (although generally not at much of an overall profit, because all the boost items were consumed by the quests!) Other Rivals quests I have been able to complete because the challenges were predominantly city production ones.
The problem with this event is that the random element is so high that you have to use large numbers of tickets just trying to hit the right spot for the specific option being requested, and that not enough of the quest rewards are tickets to make it possible to use them to complete future challenges. This may be intentional, or it may just be bad balancing in the game design; given the enormous variation in difficulty between different events' Rivals (I completed the last one within one day, thanks to accumulated 'finish production' bonuses, but cannot finish the first eight quests on the current iteration), I'm afraid I would assume that it is probably just an unthinking approach to balancing.

I ignored rivals 1 but saved up tickets from a few days before that one, had around 900 tickets hit rivals 2 and got to quest 18/19 before I was down to 120 tickets. Just gave up on it and called the event a loss. There was nothing I really wanted anyway and although it was good to see the old mechanic they killed it off with all the extra junk.

I've never had so much half finished stuff as this last couple of months, they have completely given up on anything that's not paid for. Which makes me want to spend even less. Well infact I have stopped spending anything.

I 100 percent agree. The events have lost the fun of winning the main prize, and the resources being poured into them are not worth it. I, too, have way too much junk in inventory, and the dealer to get rid of all that junk is a waste of time. I loved the game when you could still compete without buying into it, but this is way too much now. When a game isn't playable as a free player or small investment player, think it's time to move on from Inno and find something fun.
