Wouldn’t it be great to have a building where you could select which era goods it produced.
E.g. You set it to produce Bronze Age goods and at the end of its 24 hour production cycle, you again select which era goods you want produced for the next 24 hour cycle, rinse/repeat. An Arc with attitude, a Super Arc.

If we had something like that I would want to be able to set and forget until such a time that I actually need to change the Age again. I don't want to have to re-select every time I collect.

This is something that has been proposed more than once. Same as one down kits and era selection kits. Devs have been very clear on the subject. The game is not designed to go back. Apart from that, as an idea this would be DNS, so it is wishful thinking.

I kinda thought it was wishful thinking and unlikely to happen.

that would be nice for sure to switch....
and i wish we could change the goods a GB produces, .. so i built the SAT Centaurus , it makes Military Boost and Goods from previous era.??? what??? why??? i was in SAJM for months and months, i have a total of over 400k SAJM goods and this GB is going to make more SAJM goods for me??? huh?? why??? thats the last thing i need... FOE please explain your thought process on that!

And yet, suddenly we now have one down kits, never listen to what the devs say, look at all the extras they have added to the game that "are not fit for purpose" never discount wishful thinking, the devs probably thought, that's a good idea, but we will wait a while so players think we thought of it.....

There was no need back then except for guild treasury so the devs response made sense. But the game has changed a lot and with Rivals(e.g. troops) and more important SAT and SASH great buildings those down kits are nearly a must have. Players still wanting to add levels to SAT great buildings while being in SASH need to be able to downgrade new buildings from events, QI, GE to have them produce the wanted/required goods.

In the coming Years, new age after new age, those down kits will become a must have to be able to add levels to your great buildings. For the moment it's pay for two of them with those event passes but they'll have to be made way more available and the sooner the better I would say.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too.

Once we have 4+ Ages requiring Goods for Great Buildings you won't want to be stuck with outdated buildings from two or three years ago just to continue pumping out Titan Goods if you're still leveling up Hydra or whatever.

Ironically we are already in this scenario since the Care for Tomorrow event that was before SASH came out.

Sure, but look at how you are supposed to get them. Only way to get them is from the silver or gold chest. Devs saw an opportunity. They don't want it, but players keep asking for it, so let's have them pay for it. That is win/win.

I am still making 3500 SAT goods a day and trading SASH for SAT goods if needed will be no problem at all. When push comes to shove I can also start using special productions. Those "lot of players" can also spend a year in SAT. There is no rush.

Dark Matter takes time, but everything else can be done with self aid kits and complete special production. Since nothing can be done about Dark Matter you need to be patient anyhow. It's like waiting for a May Pole upgrade :P

Damn bloody May Pole upgrade and mean RNG. I did grossly calculate that I would require 15K+ SAT goods production a day for an extra 30 levels on each for a full Year. Called it off and once the last 5 levels opened up kitted all my remaining buildings to SASH.

Good luck with Dark Matter and as you already know, it could be worse, damn May Pole upgrade.
