Event Summer Event 2017

DeletedUser100832

It will prevent from having even more or more cities like that. This summer event I will get at least hundred less wishing wells.

Please feel free to suggest an idea.;)

done that already, put a massive happiness penalty on each SOK

age-dependent of course, in OF let's say -1000 happiness per shrine.

For those that have bad luck, there's a very simple solution. Take luck out of the equation. Wait until you have enough tickets to take the whole wheel. Then wait for what you want to be on the wheel and get it. You'll be sure to get 2-3 of the things you really want (full palace set for example). If you are lucky you have some tickets left to snipe with in the last week.

Assuming of course a neighbour doesn't refresh the wheel halfway

Don't remember if it was refreshed or not but 15 tickets, being this event (summer) reduced them this time, pretty much wipe out my chances for a complete set. by the time I get 15 more the game will pretty much be done for me on that particular city.
I might not finish. I'll know in about 10 tickets more down the road.
Saving what I do get for odds and ends that hopefully, isn't a motivation kit :|

This is why I only spent 3 bucks in Vegas. lol

it is possible and judging by the fact that the gold prize goes in the 1st 3 spins, theres some skill there to make this happen. I have a full set of palace (not sure if i will build it) and fountain (i will build it for the 9% attack bonus) but no tickets and waiting for next bonus quest for next ticket

DeletedUser14881

What's the size of the all buildings if put together like in the big picture?

DeletedUser14881

All aspects of game must be in balance. One of the aspects is to think on the "earthwork", I mean, how to position your buildings properly to the take the most of it. And this is not what's happening.

Every single top player in neighborhood and even the highscore just stuff as many SoKs as they can to level up the GBs they buy BPs with Diamonds because the BPs RNG is awful (Shrine of Inspiration 90% of the time gives BPs for useless GBs or GBs you haven't build yet and the 2:1 trading rarely gives that BP you need to finish a set)

I do have SoK in my city and even though I support the idea of some sort of penalization for having them. -1000 Happiness is too much, but maybe progressively cumulative negative happiness and, maybe, reduce the amount of city points provided by each SoK if needed (not sure) would be nice. This way those with 20, 30, 40 SoK would have to stop and L2P instead of B2P

both are 4x5
Really? The Palace is 4x4 and its side towers 2x2. That's 6x4 (in a square format). I'm confused

DeletedUser653

opps half right
the palace is 6x4 (your right) but fountain is 5x4
use the link above and it shows all the event buildings and their sizes i should have looked before posting!!

6 green x 4 = 24
2 silver x 2 = 4
1 gold
Total = 29
However, the wheel will (thankfully) skip the portrait if it has already given you one, so deduct 3 portraits to get to 26 prizes if you manage to play an entire wheel for yourself.

but the wheel can also be
5 green x 4 = 20
2 silver x 2 = 4
2 gold
Total = 26

and also seen wheels with 3 silver on so quite a few combinations, so guessing it could be 26 to 29 (or less if portrait was already got)
Prinza, gave you a like as i was not aware of the portrait rule, many thanks

lol again 11 spins, 3 lousy champions, two houses, 3 supplies, 1 avatar and two other things you can from regular game play but no event building.
Three different cities, all pretty much a bust
Oh, and what is the point of taking the whole wheel when most of the stuff is junk I usually delete?
I don't buy tickets so everyone is earned the old fashioned way. Time and inventory.
11 and or 15 is a huge part of the event once the tickets are gone.

Simply that if you wait to spot a wheel with something - preferably two somethings - on it, by being willing to take the entire wheel, you can be sure of getting those.

And let's face it, some of the 'junk' is actually pretty good, even if it isn't part of the special sets.

(You might want to hold on to stuff you don't want, for when quests ask you to build or destroy stuff.)

Oh everything but the houses, some small time 1x1's get deleted. Got tons of boosts. They all sit in my inventory taking up space.
Its awful to watch the marquis (however you spell that) scroll on the bottom and its only my ID and not one major win. Small time stuff you get from general game play every day.
I was looking forward to this event but now I think I'm calling it quits.
Besides, the event will force me to move up an era and I'm not ready to do that.
It would have to be worth it and this event as of now, isn't for me.

Right now the wheel is sitting with nothing but the western tower and trees, boost, another house, phoenix statue, coins, other stuff and the western tower you get anyway if you complete the quest.
It shouldn't even be there.
That wheel wont move for hours.

Well, I'm going to bed. Got an early day tomorrow.

Thanks for letting me vent my disappointment.

I finished all Maharaja quests and I do not like that a Maharani event quests is only one per day and I have to wait another 14 days to finish it all and get a palace.
Now I even can't spinn the wheel daily becouse i don't have enough tickets, only one or two per day and my chances to get a good price is low.
Only way is to collect them all week and thet take my chance. Don't like that.
It would be better like in Spring event that we could finish all event quests how fast we can and then after that daily ticket until event is finished.

The point is not to take the whole wheel. The point is that you CAN take the whole wheel if you have to, which means that you WILL get that set building or SoK you really care about.

If you have only 15 tickets there is a very real risk that you get nothing at all.

I'm not a regular Forum poster. However, this summer event has made me come out of my shell and make my 2 cents known. I'm very disappointed with this Summers Casino event. Let's fill my inventory with a whole bunch of items that I will NEVER EVER use. Oh Yeah, and let's make the very few times when something good actually come up, not worth even trying for it. (unlike past year events......this year you can only win 1)

One word for this summers Casino Event..........Disappointing

Chance I will spend money to buy Diamonds to get tickets........less than the chance of winning a SoK or a wishing well in this summers event. Zero.

Nice to see veterans here at all.

I guess you must miss the good old days when you had nothing and it was raining SoKs. You probably already have 30 or 40 ... so one more isn't a great treat ... certainly not worth the cost of a movie ticket or a night out with friends. That said, it's the newer players who are going to feel the pinch in the quest to play catch-up with so many veterans who have everything.

Quit your whining and deal with the fact you have to actually play this game for a very, very long time to get anywhere or you have to buy diamonds to get there quickly.

Meanwhile, we hear veterans who have played for a very, very long time whining that they are now having to play on a level field with newbies and can't have dozens of wishing wells or SoKs from a single event, nor put hundreds of Forge Points in as quickly as they would like, when newbies struggle to be able to even build up hundreds, thanks to game changes that penalise new players.
