Story quest line - progress block in OF

I am in AF but I am going through OF map and story quests.

While checking what quests I can expect in the future I see there is a quest "Persuasion" which requires that I produce 10 crayfish which can be produced in an OF building.
So, once I get to that point I will be blocked from finishing the quests until I get to OF but I guess I will be able to go on with the map clearing - right?

My questions is: Is there any way of finishing this quest without advancing to OF?

I've completed the latest research, Jupiter Moon and I've tried to carry on with the story quest, unfortunately, I can't go any further as I didn't know a quest involved a colony that is now locked in an Asteroid belt and I can't proceed any further, so is that it, my story ends here
