if your like me and are sick of useless events where you don’t get even 1 full size level 7 grand bridge or a full cherry garden set despite working your backside off and believe like me that this game only caters to serious diamond spenders now then please post “Yes” below, not interested in long winded reply’s we all know the reasons were voting here and it’s been said many times on other threads, if we get enough votes then maybe the management will do something for us for a change instead of just for the big spenders

Thanks

No.

You win some. You lose some. That’s life.
The Grand Bridge isn’t really worth the space for what it gives, unless you’re a low age player, you’re not missing anything, get terrace farms from GE instead. Sure level 7 gives 3FP, but so do 3 shrine of knowledge which takes less space.

Some friends and guildmates got the entire cherry garden set without spending anything.
I got almost the whole set, bar one (the pond), also didn’t spend anything.

Flip a coin, sometimes you get the side you guessed, sometimes you don’t. That’s how luck works.

actually 3 SoK need the same space
but if you do the math correct then you consider the roads to connect them and then SoK needs more space
and a terrace farm is even more inefficient

and those don't give 5 goods

so if a level 7 Grand Bridge isn't worth the space then the buildings you mentioned too

if you remove the events - you get nothing and nor does anyone else

if you choose to ignore the events - only you lose out

let people have the choice

I understand it differently

a change how event works
you get the final reward (a full set) without luck factor if you play the event completely without spending diamonds

YES. I want that
remove the randomness.
give everybody the same rewards if they do the same
no more: just must be lucky or use diamonds to get one set / highest level building (garden 7)

there are events in which the end result is a given - complete event = get specific building

part of the fun of the game is an element of randomness, be it battlefield terrain, incidents, random rewards from quest lines etc...

some events have random elements as to what you get, wait 6 months and another event appears where you can get the missing stuff

if your approach is i want it all, i want it now then buy diamonds, otherwise wait, the game is meant to be played long term
turn it into a series of set clicks that always produces the same result will become boring, why bother if the outcome is fixed ?

I got the full grand bridge set on the last event and the full lvl 2 cherry set and a couple of SOK from this event. Debating spending the first diamonds I need/want to on this event as I'm 20 pts away from the Reno kit.

The event with the pillar I was one lvl off so that's stayed in inventory in the hope it returns next year. Not going to complain I didn't win the full set there as it was clear when the event was started there was a chance you wouldn't win everything so it was my choice in taking part.

If the palace event has a lvl 2 that's going to be hard work I have two full sets of each building for that so chances of upgrading everything will be slim, I'll still take part but I won't be going in expecting to complete everything.

No. A petition won't do anything.

Someone with the means should sue this company for unlicensed gambling ("lootboxes" I think is the term associated with their practice). They con you into buying tokens ("diamonds"), to gamble on in-game items. A more correct way would be to outright sell those items, and or remove the link between diamonds and random rewards. (ie, make the chance based on items that cannot be purchased, only, lanterns, goods, coins, whatever)

The con is that in order to remain competitive with your peers, you need to spend $ but an undetermined amount. It could also be huge, if you're unlucky at RNG.

I don't mind the randomness, I mind needing to pay money to be able to pull the roulette wheel.

BUT, if you do start a petition, address it to the appropriate regulators to classify this game as a gambling game.

The events even if they give cheesy prizes, they are prizes.
So live with what you have got or just quit the game...

No.
I can't do this without a long winded reply.

My solution.
Check Fandom Wiki BEFORE the event.
Evaluate the quests and rewards.
Decide if you are going to do the event, commit to it.......and don't moan.
If you are not going to do the event, leave it completely alone.......and don't moan.

and then stupid threads like this won't be needed.

And the Grand Bridge is just a crappier version of the smaller-in-size Pillar of Heroes from the previous event, making this whine that much more hilarious!:P

I got enough upgrades for Lv.6 Bridge without even trying... no diamonds spent.
Previous event, I played smart & got a Lv7 PoH's + a Lv1 PoH & 1 additional upgrade to get a head start on next year's event/possible DC inclusion and of course, no diamonds spent. ;)

Some friends and guildmates got the entire cherry garden set without spending anything.

I missed the Pond as well friend... 7 tries on the 18-20% chests and just got on the 'below average' end of the probability curve.. oh well.

Honestly, all these events are readily able to get the 'main' prize/s if you play smart!

You want to know what a "pay to own" event really looks like? Please, go play a seasonal Elvenar event!
Do all the quests, gather all the randomly appearing eggs/cherry trees/acorns/whatevers around your city, spend only on the 'double blossoms/feathers/'grand prize currency'' days AND YOU STILL DON'T WIN THE FINAL PRIZE!!
Oh, and unlike here in FoE, you can't win an infinite supply of diamonds either! :P

- End rant.

Inno needs to do a better job of consistent rewards. The prize value doesn't match the effort and the buildings take up needed space. We play because we want to or because there may be some cool stuff at the end. My guild hasn't been impressed with the prizes so we lampoon them on our threads to re-build morale. Personally, GE gives better rewards like diamonds, medals and units.

The Winter and Summer Casino events give cool stuff more regularly.

I miss the Sea Captain. Sometimes he came in handy.

I agree with John12227 - we need a longer break between events!

If you want a better chance at winning then do two things in addition to your normal play:

(1) Join this weekly comp whenever a major event is up. You'll get free currency of whatever is in use (winter stars, footballs, lanterns etc), usually 500 at a time. It was the difference between completing the kits in Noarsil by the exact amount of lanterns needed and being short a couple kits

Link To "What Time Is It?" Comp

(2) Check the email your account was linked to. There should be free currency in your inbox (probably in your junk mail) when a major event comes up and the junk mail will give you 14 days to see it before Hotmail or whatever deletes it

Yes Inno is making it harder to win stuff, but as long as there is a reasonable chance of winning then I don't mind given we get free diamonds from GE and can always pick and choose what to put in our city from the events

The fact that inno is giving us straight - complete questline to get stuff - as well as the random nature stuff I'm fine with the random being there. Just as long as it's not all random and the random isn't ridiculous odds.

DeletedUser101951

My opinion depends on the quest line... Many of the events are not worth it or have a "dead end" in the quest line that could only be solved with buying gems or some other extreme in game method. Other events give free stuff and are enjoyable.
