2 threads going on in here!!

1) Stone
Stone is a strange unit as it is a current commodity even in the last LMA era where you need 80 units.
Personally this is great for me as many players in LMA forget this and I can trade LMA for stone at 4:1 and then stone back to LMA for 2:1. Lots of profits to be made!!

2) double deposits
Yep, they really suck and I am very greatful for never having one. Its a poor deal for those that have.

It's fairly easy to tell we're in beta, when you go to en.forgeofempires.com, it says beta in capital letters under the main game image. So new players can easily see that, no matter if an advertisement doesn't.

Also, it's not uncommon for games in beta to accept contributions, they still need to make money. Games can be in beta for years, if a company isn't making any money on a game while they develop it in beta, they won't develop it.

I totally agree hence my post, but the national ads say different. Beta play is not mentioned

I have been Alpha testing another game for over 12 months, i have noted problems that have needed my char down leveled to re test, not a problem but i knew where i stood. In Beta play i have gained top postings, yet know it will be wiped to start again, sometimes with a perk, other times without. I just asked where are we now?, since the ads say we are live :)

So as far as you are concerned TV ads are wrong, and we are not live, yet still in beta testing?

We are on strange ground here, a game this successful in beta, that is gaining high revenue is unusual, normally beta says test only, and as players you have no compensation or time ownership rights, even if you contribute in game time to address and correct data errors, as your testing.
But I would argue this point, as the diamond cost is so high for any advantage, any one that has contributed cash, and has contributed to development , by forum, to post errors in game play, add to the value of the game, and therefor are entitled to look for consideration. Strongest point on legal ground is, the game, as of 3 days ago, has had national advertising, without saying Beta play, inviting new players onto same servers, we play on whilst testing. As beta players we know normally our accounts are game owned, and totally taken away at the end. sometimes with a thanks, sometimes with out, I don't comprehend, where we stand here, are we beta or live?

No, the ads are not wrong, they don't specifically say "This game is completely passed beta stage!!!!!"
This game is clearly in beta, anyone who sees an ad on tv, goes to the same site as anyone else, and can easily see the beta sign.

There's no need to continue this line of discussion any more. I have explained it as clearly as it can be explained. Also, discussing whether or not the game is beta or not, is of no help to someone wanting goods replaced.

Yup, I now have copper and honey instead of 2 coppers. Of course I am now in the late middle ages but you can't win them all.

works for me as well. I just wanted to say 'thank you' for my granite rock :) I am in desperate need of granite, so it's useful :)
