Special buildings upgrade kit - add capability to change specialisation

Proposal: on current upgrade kits for special buildings, adding the option to be used to change the specialisation (example: change a Royal Ship to a Pirate Ship)

Have you checked for similar ideas?: yes, found two unformatted similar ideas
Unformatted: Upgrade Kits to Reset Top Level of Upgradeable Buildings
Unformatted: Specialisation change kit

Reason: main reason that sparked the idea was the desire of more military boosts for GBG. In any case it would be a nice option to be able to change the specialisation of special buildings if a player decides to change style of game

Details: when clicking an upgrade kit, the current behaviour is
  • the buildings ready to be upgraded are shown with an empty star
    • if there is only one option for the next upgrade, the upgrade is done
    • if there are multiple options for the next upgrade, the player has to choose
  • if there are no buildings for the selected upgrade, or the buildings of that type are all at maximum level, the system says 'you don't have any building that can be upgraded with this item'
specialised buildings at max level could be included in the upgrade option, and there is where the choice of a different specialisation can be done

Balance/Abuse Prevention: the balance is in spending a useful upgrade for a change of specialisation, instead of using it for an upgrade in level. Abuse prevention achieved not resetting the timer (as is already for current upgrades)

Visual Aids: n/a - I'll add screenshots at the next available upgrade, if the forum will allow me to edit

Players do not change playstyle. They make decissions they later regret.

You are forgetting the abuse part. I have so many upgrades that I can use them to change buildings several times a day to whatever suits me.

I did change playstyle, from maximum possible FP collection to maximum possible battles, maybe some day I'll decide to change to farmer (basically for most special buildings these are the 3 options)
As per the abuse, I don't see how keep changing speciality at the price of an upgrade could be seen as such; when doing actual upgrades the timer is not even reset, in this case it would be the same
anyway, thank you for the feedback and the bump

edit: added abuse prevention to balance, noting the point of the timer

And that is why this should not be introduced. Game is about making choices. I should not be allowed to pick offense, if the hood suits me and switch to defence, or farming the next week.

glad you agree with me, this is about making a choice: using an upgrade to change a building or not

not sure FoE is all about making choices, that would be Bandersnatch
