They have been testing an AD update for close to 5 months now. Luckily they say they are introducing it. Not testing it.

Looking forward to the excitement of that one turning into disappointment when they add an extra advert before it works on mobile.

Players complaining all over that certain buildings don't get aided and they made it no easier for mobile players to actually aid than it was 5 years ago.

They could meanwhile properly keep the actual live AD system updated as they did in the past. Especially with the introduced gold and higher upgrades for previous Years event buildings. They could also start to add the previous Year(s) event selection packs into the mix now while removing some way too old stuff or lower the % of appearance. It's the power creep that made the AD obsolete but we are getting to the point selection kits for buildings of 2022 and 2023 become relevant to bid on or buy again.

that's exactly why they need to continue testing to see what prices they can put the things at

They haven't tried adjusting them again since the testing started to figure out the pricing.

The issue they'll have is if they can't sell them at decent AD prices they'll look very expensive on the 'sales' that pop up from time to time.

If they keep doing that the way they are doing that now, they will still be testing in 10 years. Unless ofcourse you think that not changing the prices is the perfect way to test them.

I rarely ever buy as can get most items either from events or from fragments produced in my city, but it would be nice if the AD worked as it does in real life, having hundreds of items to choose from would be so much better and more like real life or the shelves could respawn anew every hour if having hundreds would cause coding issues

As to having a sit in all Taverns button, yes please, perhaps first one per day will be free and 5 diamonds a go for every press after, no more adverts please, they are purile juvenile games no one in their right mind would play plus every time I want to use a button I get the message " there are currently no adverts to watch " perhaps these companies have finally realised they are not getting any business from players of a way better game than they are advertising and are simply throwing their money away...

Thrilled to see that this option is in the works. Sad to see that this thread is two months old.

AD is little more than an inefficient rubbish bin. Most of the stuff on offer is obsolete or worse. They had the right idea back at the start when there were items that you could only get through the AD and that's probably the way to make it work again. Sadly, that was left to die off.

Saw a victory tower upgrade in my AD today. Trying to think of a more useless item but suspect that'd require serious work.

I suppose AD is a useful feature for new players and players in low eras, but for the majority of players who have played for more than 6 months it is a dumping ground, to rid us of all the junk we aquire
