Root of problems, cause of conflictions, contributor of misunderstandings, trigger of @rguments (without innuendo to any other thread), and what not.

Zeratul 2.0

Lieutenant Colonel
The main problem is that one party of the argument (without innuendo to any other thread) appears to have much to say but it is for the "public space" only, and he or she addresses everyone or anyone (be it even no one at all, which makes it a monologue), and one thing he or she is NOT doing is that he or she is not addressing any particlar one person. But another party of the argument (without innuendo to any other thread) may be not as such. Instead, he or she is very clear whom he or she is talking to; and he or she would have the same thing to say no matter in the public space or the private space. The first party is different from that. You can even go so far as to point out that the first party is completely different person in public versus in private, and you'd be correct. The second party talks with an inviting subtext "PM for more" while the first party has what appear to others an off-putting attitude "Whatever you do, do NOT PM and let's keep a safe distance"...

ok so basically people doing things for show, bringing a conflict into the public but insisting that it should be private while not keeping it private

There are instances where it may be necessary to address a problem in public if it needs the whole guild to be addressed, but if you do it should be as neutral as possible so it's not dragging up more problems or humiliating anybody
