Production Totals

DeletedUser107714

Proposal:

A new screen / menu option to allow players to see at a glance how much nett production (gold / supplies / products) they are generating in an hour / 4 hours etc...

Ideas section: I've looked in the forum area, but can not find a similar idea to this. (I may have used different words to search on?)

Reason:

Explain why you think this is either a necessary or enhancing addition to the game. You should consider the existing game mechanics here and show how this idea improves upon them. Tables comparing costs, times, unit values etc are a helpful addition.

This will be a good idea to save players time in looking where they are producing.

Examples:

Current method, I have to click on each building one at a time to identify & count what they are producing (it may take some players a while to recognise at a glance what they are.).

If it were in a simple one-stop screen, a player can identify what they are producing.

Example: I'm a CEO of a big corporation. i have weekly reports from my managers, telling me that i have 5 shops, 3 warehouses, & 2 production facilities. generating xxx amount of products and selling yyy amount per week...

In our game we dont have shops & warehouses, but the principle is the same. A 1-stop shop as to what we are producing. are we producing too much of one product, and not enough of another ?

Details:
Explain the specifics of your proposal. How will it work?

A simple 'new' screen / option - possibly in the TOWN HALL. we currently have news / Profile / Goods as menu options.

a new option (called "overall" ?? ) can be created, that generates / shows us in a table format what houses / production buildings we have.

the table will show

a) the name & 'age' - EG 'early middle age' (or acconymn)

b) how many of these buildings we have

c) what they are producing, & how many (this can be an 'average' per 4 hours, or 24 hours..)

d) a timer, so you know when the earliest of each type of building will net finish their production.

Visual Aids:

I may do a mock-up later on. I'm not good at graphics.

but it can be laid out in a simple table:

8 Cottages:iron age, gold, 110 per 4 hours. timer: 3:43:17 hours.

3 goat farm:Iron age, supplies, 220 an hour.timer: 43:45 minutes.

2 Iron Foundry:iron age, iron, 1 per 4 hours. timer: 3:23:38 hours.

instead of putting the total of individual buildings, you could put the nett total..

example:

3 goat farm:Iron age, supplies, 660 an hour.timer: 43:45 minutes.

(3 x 220 = 660 supplies an hour)

Balance:

Describe what impact this idea will have on other game features. Will it require adjustments or changes? If so, be specific.

No need to alter / adjust the other aspects of the game, & it will be beneficial to brand new and older players the same way - it will not benefit any particular group of player.

The only difference will be more experienced players with more 'land', may have a bigger range of building types & a larger list to look at.
if they decide to 'specialise' on a type of production, their list will smaller.

Abuse Prevention:
Does your proposal open up possible exploits or make it possible for players to cheat? If so, then how can this be addressed?.

I do not see how this can be abused. it simply advises the player their production, & they can decide to sell / build different buildings based on the information.

Summary: Give a final wrap up and list any questions you think may still need to be answered to improve your idea.

I cant think of any other queries. the idea is basic & will suit all players alike. I am willing to answer queries if other folk have questions.
