I'm quite new to FoE but done a bit of city building in general, mainly Caesar III. Now, I'm not excessively competitive nor combative. I enjoy construction, optimal design, and social interaction.
Am I in the wrong game?
I'm not criticising FoE at all, but I wondered if all the PvP combat, the Guild vs. Guild conflict, even the race to the top of rankings ... is all this necessary for me to play this game long term? I'm aware that a core part of the game is ... well ... forging an expanding empire, but is it possible to just build on your one city, in one region, and fully develop it within a set age, such as Bronze Age?

Please don't shout in any reply! ;)

the answer is Yes, you dont have to research the technology which unlocks access to the PvP part of the game. Your city will pretty limited if you choose to stay in Bronze age as you wont get many city expansions unless you decide to purchase them with diamonds.
