Why not have a facility to transfer items between your cities? Also, a facility to withdraw goods from the Guild Treasury when needed?

Ah yeah, that would be nice. Then I would start a new city, join a high ranked guild and withdraw all the high era goods from guild treasury. Actually, I think I would jump around top guilds for a while and "steal" all the guild goods. And I would transfer valuable items I don't need in my main city to my new city, such as fp packs, att/def boosts, bp chests and fully upgraded but outdated event buildings.

Maybe I'd just move my Royal Bathhouse to the new city. That's 20 units per day - and 104 fps, 500 guild goods and a solid att/def boost. I can move it back anytime if I need it in my main city.
I might also have to transfer some of all my aid kits so I can make sure the Bathhouse is aided when I collect from it..

And to transfer all, finish special and finish all special production from your diamond farms to your main. Also doing the events fully on all your diamond farms and transfer the main event buildings or whatever else as good buildings from your farms to your main.

Imagine my main with 9 of each settlement buildings. Ouch QI.
