FoE has been downloaded 50K times the last 30 days and the revenue was $1M. Do you really think Inno cares what players bring that in?
No I dont think they care , It was more about me not them ,and how I felt , and I know they dont care . they still have players that have bent the rules for years its all about the dollar , I get that.

So you know what your options are. You can get upset about it and express your frustrations, but you know that will get you nowhere. That leaves accepting it is how it is, or quitting yourself.

I'm having a hard time giving a toss about any of this or anything to do with the game, and as someone who's run a guild since 2014, spent money on the game (prior to 2021,) taken an active role in the community, made my own guides and guild website -- whether I am great or not -- it should concern someone that I care less and less about logging in or maintaining any of it.

Someone else put it this way on beta and in discord recently, let's do this, roll out the Trials and whatever other BS is in the pipeline, so we can bury this thing and put it behind us! 2025 is exhausting, and the game is adding to the exhaustion.

The game is not doing it's function as entertainment now, except to point and laugh at what is called an "update" or "improvement." Even Droppy's ridiculous comments everywhere are more entertaining, which is a real low bar. lol.

Agreed, same here. Years ago I couldn't wait to log in to see what improvements to city, att/def I could make, see if anyone attacked my city, see if I needed to do something in GE, GBG. (When I started playing I think Artic Future was just introduced, so a fair while). Now, good grief. I look at my inventory where I've got nearly 60 pages of stuff, most of which are fragments of things I haven't got a clue about, so I don't bother with them. GBs are a waste of time now - more firepower from event buildings. It used to be fun, but now I have to spend a larger and larger amount of time reading wikis to understand what the fragments are for, what the buildings do, what quantum thingy is, what the new event is plus all the myriad of prize buildings that come from it, and all other new areas. It's moved away from being a fun game to one of being a real chore and grind. I find no enjoyment in it now. To be honest, there are days when I don't even think of the game, and I suddenly realise I haven't logged on either all day or for a couple of days. Not far off stopping altogether - I think it will happen naturally, where I don't notice I haven't logged in for 3 or 4 days, then that'll be the end of it. I'm find it much more fun to go back to older games such as Rise of Nations, Pharoah etc.

They've made collecting your city a thing you actually dread to do, that's sort of the beginning of the end right there. So many fragments and kits to assemble, and everything makes so much stuff it doesn't feel like it matters - devalued the whole thing so there's no excitement or endorphins like we used to get, and it's spread to other parts of the game too -- where it all becomes a chore. 77 pages of junk and I have 3rd party tools to track it and try to make sense of it, or it would be impossible to keep up.

One of my guild mates said just this weekend that she had put off collecting her city for 2 days - like did other stuff in the game like using her turns in GE or GBG, but couldn't face collecting the city.

I feel like the obfuscation of everything is the point -- get us frustrated to where we just buy our way through. QI especially, they changed it every 3 months all last year and it's only recently we finally got a settled version to develop some long term strategies without it changing again in a few weeks. They have left it fairly stable for the past 6 months at least.

There is too much going on in events too, the feeling I've been getting now is like walking a high-wire balancing act, one wrong step and you plunge to your death, or you won't have the right currency to finish the right number of boards, or you won't get the prizes or league you're going for -- then here comes the daily rivals to harass you, and a world progress thing and some store with tokens to collect -- all these side projects outside in other windows added onto the event.

Now I am doing the Event high-wire balancing act, but someone is throwing things at me trying to knock me off while I do it.
