Modern Era goods building issue

I'm not sure this is an issue within the game in general (anybody else finding it)? Or just a glitch on my worlds but when I try to build goods buildings in modern era it tells me I don't have the appropriate goods on the continent map....but I do! What's more I'm actually producing those goods on a daily basis.....on the flip side, it will let me put in goods buildings that I don't have the goods for....in one case I haven't even unlocked the particular product on the research stream as it wasn't on the map.
I don't want to take the chance and build something that will only produce minimal goods as it's an expensive process.
Any insight you guys have is appreciated. Cheers!

I haven't personally had this issue, but then again I'm also not in the modern era.
