If you advance far enough through the story quest line you will get quests aimed for higher ages and so those rewards will be from the age the quests are designed for.

Hi - DarkUros! Could you please explain "Through Quests". I am in LMA but have advanced on the continent map through ColA to IA. Along the way I got two grenadiers which is very handy in LMA GE. I would like to get some IA troops before going into ColA. But i cannot remember how I got my grenadiers. It was not from continent map as all I ever seem to get from that is coins and supplies. I suppose it was from quests of some sort. But I am stuck at the moment in my story quest as it is asking me to "build 2 decorations from the colonial age". I suppose I could go forward in research and fulfill the bonus quest to build imperial barracks but the reward for that is goods. The only quests I am completing are "recurring quests" which just loop round and round.
