Not a Bug: Military units/buildings

I have a quest "Research a military building or unit". I have horses, and a stable, and my quest didn't clear. Not sure what the issue is, if it is a bug, or I am clueless.

If nothing else, I'd like my task completed.

The quest means from the point that you accepted it, research another military unit. So although you've researched other military units in the past, you need to research another one to complete that quest. Don't worry, the quest is not crucial.
