infiltrate enemy army

If I choose to attack when expanding the area I control, I get the option to infiltrate the enemy army for 100 coin.
Is it worth doing and what benefit do I get?

if the army is more advanced than yours then yes, well worth it. what it does is remove 1 box of health from each of the enemy troops. this can be very helpful
