Autobattled all the way, my thumbs get dislocated on auto can't imagine manually fighting gbg even for 1 fight. Although you tend to pick your fights from 85/90 onwards a lot more and dump the 8 nail opponent toss a coin battles even earlier.

Wow and i thought 50% attack bonus is good, I mean 1000% is incredible, 2500% out of this world!

This game is a patience dependent game

It certainly is, one could argue there is not enough to do for newbies or younger players but if you have a busy real life it fits in perfectly.

Personal achievement to date. Today I solved a Guild Expedition Level 4 encounter by fighting. My army Att +69% Def +47%. Not much of a bonus! Judicious and careful selection of units, use of terrain, and strategy won the fight (with just one unit left standing!).

Well, I'm pleased with myself. I have had it said the GE4 battles are not possible without far greater attack/defence bonuses.

i will soon attempt a jump from Iron to FE (or mb TE or AF)

Yes they are VERY worthwhile buildings. I get attack bonus, population, happiness, goods, coins, troops and forge points every day from them. And some people still try to tell me they're a waste of space! I don't care, I like them!
