How to get regular building upgrades.

There have been many event remnants (incomplete buildings) stuck in players' inventories, including upgrade kits with missing base units, expired placed time-limited buildings with no constant upgrade supply or clear way of knowing if they will be available in the same event next year!
How can players plan their cities with no indication when a wanted upgrade can next be obtained?
The AD is now outdated by years,
Has anyone worked out when or what is going on, got a wiki link or is it now a complete mess?

Regular as in frequent. Some can be got with fragments, but not enough for time limited expiries.

You can get more than enough for the time limited buildings during Events. It is the same as it has always been. During an event you need to make a choice what your priority will be. Wildlife Event even came with a Epic Ascended 2024 Selection Kit. Maybe the 10 day buildings can be a problem, but the 30 day ones I have already covered for over a year. The 10 day buildings you should replace anyhow. They have been outdated.

Now don't come with upgrade kits missing base buildings. Epic kits have base buildings.

Thanks for your reply to my initial response, most Epic kits don't come with base buildings as you already need a fully leveled base building to apply them, most base buildings and upgrades for them come in Selection kits. The problem is that you might not have the base or only have a half-leveled base building so are unable to place its appropriate epic kit.



e.g. All the Upgrade kits shown above in my inventory cannot yet be placed and it is not always possible to get a base building or upgrade for them after the event and its appropriate rival quests are done.

Your example is that of an ascended upgrade kit. Epic Selection Kits come with base buildings for the Event they represent. The Epic Ascended Kit does not come with base buildings, but the term "ascended" is a clear giveaway for that. There are more than enough ways to get base buildings or upgrades for ascended buildings. If you do not have them you either have made the wrong choices during Events, or you are just not active or good enough in the game.

Yes that's true, we are not all perfect or have a r/l so they miss half the event.
Another example there are plenty left with not fully leveled Yukitomo towers, how does the game cater for the less good players?

It doesnt, either your prepared to take part in events and take the time required, or you end up with lots of half built event buildings which you end up completing over a couple of years.

Nothing has changed with that, It's not a new or recent change, it's been the same since they introduced event buildings. No effort means no reward.

You already know it's not, you would need to find out what event they're from and get them from that event this year. Thats not complicated.

I didn't. I explained anyone in the situation you highlighted didn't make the effort. It's not a suggestion.

Not everyone can get all what they want from an event even with effort; perhaps with all the recent changes and time limited buildings it would be a good time to update the AD.
That's for Inno to decide but it would be a shameful if they don't.

They need to update AD, Daily challenges, PvP rewards, Castle rewards, half the event rewards (I still win SOK randomly) and probably make tavern boosts relevant again. I've also no doubt forgot at least one area that's obsolete too.

They rarely update anything, they're one hit wonders with new content and leave it to fall off. Once you get used to that and understand thats normal for Inno, you put the effort in and gain the things you want yourself from events.

They say we are at the heart of everything they do, so it's sad to see that. Threads like this with other ideas and suggestions like AD updates don't seem to be anywhere near their hearts. Gone are the days when my cousin's aid all suggestion was live and they really did it!

They get another chance with the event the next year and with that year's Epic Kits. What is it you want? That they have the same chances as players actually willing to put an efort in to it?

Threads like this with other ideas and suggestions like AD updates don't seem to be anywhere near their hearts.

I'm slowly winding down FOE, they can keep QI and all their fragments, impediments and time-lapsed buildings,
