How do you change admin rights in a 1.9 thread as the owner has stopped playing

Hi I am in a external 1.9 thread and the owner has finished playing the world. Is there anyway someone could take over running the thread and if so how do you take on the admin rights ?

Why would that make a difference? You just said it was an external thread (which I am assuming you mean is in your Social tab). If you take over the guild, you will only have control over the guild based threads.
